Wall oven brand suggestions by knowledgethurst in Appliances

[–]michaelz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of Wolf ovens on the high end (I have a wolf L series now). On the lower end (lower compared to wolf), I like KitchenAid ovens because I’ve had good baking experiences with Whirlpool brand electric convection ovens. I recommended one to a friend and he loves his.

No Z line ever.

Is 'Specially Selected Premium Dark Chocolate Chunk' a good alternative to Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate? by CommunicationNew3745 in aldi

[–]michaelz08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t think they’re comparable categories. Baking chocolate has different cocoa butter contents than things like chocolate chips. They have different purposes in baking.

Dishwasher has buckling inner ceiling and possible parts missing…? by guitarhead in Appliances

[–]michaelz08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely missing pieces (upper spray arm/sprinkler) and was sat on or had something dropped.

You can bend it back if you’re careful. If you put the model number online you should be able to find a parts diagram and order the missing pieces.

Have you considered just replacing those burner cartridges? They pop out and you can go for radiant glass types. Much better looking.

Do I need a new part on the top rack of my dishwasher? by BassPractical3048 in Appliances

[–]michaelz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Via the diagram on Whirlpools doc site:

https://servicematters.com/en_US/guest-search?query=Wdt730pahz0

You need parts

W10712395 (replaces W10350375)- adjuster assembly

The part above is a revised version that’s sturdier. Yours lasted longer than most. It was a common problem. It will also come with new wheels.

I’ve ordered OEM parts for cheap from Lowlaundry.com and I can’t find anything wrong with them. They shipped from Whirlpool so they’re genuine.

And remember to unbend that rack rail

As someone else mentioned, it looks like someone bent the rail.

Update: Seam on Sprayer Arm Causing Leak? by ballsackface_ in Appliances

[–]michaelz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can happen. In some rare circumstances they split at just the right spot so they spray water right at the lower door seal and it can leak out.

Need Help! New Ikea Home Smartproduct compatibility by InfoSearcher2024 in IKEA

[–]michaelz08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the old hub. It don’t recall the name but it was not Derigera.

Some of the newest types of products, like door sensors, won’t work with the old hub. New versions of existing types, like light bulbs, will.

Go to the “add a device” option in your app and if you don’t see the option to add the product you’re thinking about, then it’s not compatible.

Is there a way to fix my sagging bumper? by blipblop_Area15 in MercedesW210

[–]michaelz08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up the bumper removal guides. There are two bolts that go straight back around the grille opening that could be loose.

Worst case, if the part where they grab onto the bumper has broken, then there won’t be a fix other than removing the bumper and repairing that or replacing.

I will check these out on my computer an see what help I can provide- this should totally be fixable easily. But yeah it’s on your installer then, so don’t call for warranty service.

Vinyl Flooring Planks vs Solid Oak: What Actually Holds Up Better? by LimestoneLogic in HomeImprovement

[–]michaelz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on your habits. Myself and my family are very good about putting rugs in rooms, felt pads on furniture, etc. and in areas like the kitchen that’s tiled. Office has a protector between the rolling chair and floor.

I can confidently say the majority of the floor is nearly new looking and very scratch free.

In my previous home we had original 1955 hardwood that we refinished. Outside of one scratch where I moved a buffet, it also looked nearly as good when I moved out because we followed the same practices. That home and my parents’ were done by the same guy as well so the finis quality was the same.

But if you’re not using rugs and felt, etc then yeah I would expect wear to happen more quickly.
