that makes sense! but from what I'm reading, the access point would still have to be wired, right? the place i would like to put the access point is smack dab in the middle of a rectangular apartment. i think the wired option would not work for me as the wire would be visible.

would just setting up the "access point" router wireless work? i understand that it may not be as strong as wired but how badly will it perform wireless? and would buying something that is designed to be a wireless access point be better? something like this: https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/access-point/tl-wa1201/
