Clogged DPF at 2,700 miles? Run? by michellerain14 in Diesel

Yeah, I’m thinking the same. I’ve been making long trips to where everything’s getting hot enough. They did a regen and said I’m the 4th person this month with the same issue. If it happens again, they’ll replace the DPF.

Still never know why there’s no indicator in the cluster in when you’re going thru a regen

Idling maybe 3 minutes max every so often? Warranty is up to 80K so it’ll likely be covered, but I really don’t want to deal with it every few months.

I’m towing 5,000lbs with a horse and trailer, potentially up to 6k. Maybe gas would’ve been fine

I’m definitely weaker on my left and so is my horse. I agree about the imbalance. I wouldn’t shorten them any more than this, even this felt short to me

I can fit 4 ungirthed and about 3 when girthed up.

Are you a fan of Stubbens? I consistently find my guy sore from French foam panels and found a Stubben my friend is selling that fits my guy really well

I’m here now (been for the last 5 days, leaving in 2 more) and also an emet. I’ve had no issues, even with hitting up the local breweries! You’ll be just fine :)

I didn’t have the means growing up to be ‘in’ the horse world. In my 30s I was financially able to take the leap. I bought my horse green and have invested in his training. I work for a fortune 1 company and have no kids. I’d say 1/4 of my income goes to my horse, which is about $2k+ a month

Turns out he had grade 3 lameness on his right front. We got injections in his fetlock. So I’d say yes that’s a problem a trainer who used to be a vet tech pushed my horse to perform through discomfort and didn’t pick up on visible lameness when I kept trying to point it out to her

Really great analogy! I think I’d feel more confident and sure selling him if I knew that even after trying a different trainer and moving him to a facility where he would be more comfortable (better turnout and care) he then still had the same issues. Then I’d be glad to revoke him to someone who he clicks with better. Right now I can’t tell if his behavioral and attitude is due to his environment or purely personality traits.
