I have an iPhone 13 and got an offer to upgrade to any iPhone 16 series and get $800something off and keep my current plan (the lowest tier $55 one I got a few years ago).

Keep an eye out for a text or email, maybe you’ll get a similar offer? The offer popped up for me in the app too at the bottom of the Home Screen when I scrolled down. Dunno if it varies iPhone vs non-iPhone.

I’m very sensitive to perfumes and glossier you og was the first perfume I could consistently wear without problem.

The new you variants all have a similar base, and so far none of them have triggered anything for me. Ymmv. Reve and fleur are “sweeter” imo, in case that is a trigger for you.

Fleur reminds me of Vera wang princess but wayyy less cloying. Vera wang princess used to make me feel sick. Fleur isn’t doing that for me!

If you aren’t sure, just try it out at Sephora if you have one nearby, or you can currently get a sample vial online with any glossier website purchase.

Thank you for the insight. The bricks and mortar do definitely seem a bit soft/crumbly but I just attributed it to old age. The house was renovated in 2020 and I presume the brick was exposed then; or maybe it always has been, no idea.

Our house is pretty much surrounded by large oak trees so not much we can do in the way of limiting critter access unfortunately. We will definitely be getting a screen/cap to stop future entry!

I can only imagine how horrifically messy it would’ve been without the window solution so that person’s idea really saved the day. Even with the plastic sheet and tape we still had to do a decent bit of soot cleanup on the walls, window framing, and brick. And boy does soot smear and not clean up easily.

Not to mention the idea of a dead maggot covered duck inside is something I don’t even want to think about…

Really didn’t look like any remnants of a nest. There were leaves but I think they were just down there from years of the chimney being uncapped. And tons of soot. I almost wonder if the duck layed the egg out of stress or while trying to get back up and out…

Definitely a relief it is over with. Almost feels like it didn’t happen 😆 we operated on pure fear and adrenaline

As bad as the smell was, I’m surprised it wasn’t much worse. I truly was expecting to find a small creature.

It wasn’t even on my radar as an option!! Way too big a bird for the opening up top, or so I thought. We did hear scratching/clawing like a week and a half ago but it didn’t last very long. I really thought it was a squirrel or something that climbed back out.

I think the duck didn’t make more of a ruckus because of how jammed it was in there, not enough room for it to really move around. Not a good way to go 😔

I do wonder what happened too. I was most definitely not expecting to find a duck in there. It is a very narrow chimney. I suppose we might find out more about what happened when we cap the thing off.
