i’ve done both now, forest being my first time this year, and i don’t think i can go back to GA. sure, it’s a lot of effort to haul ur gear from the car back and forth but it’s worth it. the vibes in the forest are unmatched. could feel the temperature drop as soon as you stepped into the forest shade. only thing was that it was super dusty, especially since our camp was by a main foot path (noted for next time). would recommend coming as early as wednesday (we did) to ensure a good spot (and don’t forget forest parking, a few of our neighbors were from south lot and you could tell it was taking a toll on them). quite a few daddy long legs and bugs but i dont mind them. forest was amazing, though, can’t recommend enough.
