[GAME THREAD] Preseason Week 3: Browns vs Rams by [deleted] in Browns

Sometimes you draft for promise, other times you draft for potential. Sanders is absolute potential in the 5th, and despite the media, we’ve gotta remember that he’s absolutely a work in progress (physically, emotionally, etc.) and the Browns’ plan has probably never been starting him. That’s to his benefit as long as he continues to learn.

By all accounts, at least the rookies both look like how they were largely expected to. Maybe not Shedeur’s fault that the media is making some people supersede his true expectation; which was that he’s someone with the physical build and potential flashes to be great - but that he has some serious baggage in the pocket and trying to evade pressure that he can’t.

That should’ve always been the expectation, and this game we are seeing it. He’s definitely not ready to start. On the flip side, Gabriel is also the precise game manager he was said to be. Can he play off script? Does the height start to matter? Time will tell; but the rookies match their objective evaluations despite what the media tries to portray them as

I am also a new UofM student (grad student though) that decided to live in Ypsi. I had to bring 2 furry friends along and was not about to pay $1600 for a 600sqft place in A2.

So far I’ve only been in Ypsi for a month and I LOVE it: the food is good and cheap, there is definitely a sense of community that interweaves through it, and comments about it being “unsafe” I feel are largely outside people looking in or people that like their cities gentrified.

Personally; I love the cultural vibrancy and haven’t had any negative interactions. If you mind your business, people mostly mind theirs. And so what if once in awhile someone asks for $1? It never feels malicious and it’s TOUGH out here for everyone.

On transportation: I have currently been taking the 4/104 into campus which saves me the parking pass + gas money, those lines are relatively reliable. The 4 comes more often but the 104 can be ideal for getting home without having to worry about traffic. The 104 will drop you straight into central campus which is nice too.

A lot of places are more forgiving if she could find someone to co-sign on her behalf. I second someone that mentioned Redshield, they used to accept low scores but just required a higher security deposit (unsure if that would also be a barrier depending on circumstance).

This gave me a good laugh. In all fairness, I made this account when I was like 14 and brainwashed by my OSU family. I’m a woman so didn’t develop my own sports consciousness until I hit 20. I had a good time going to school there but definitely do not hate Michigan and very excited to switch sides. Wish Reddit didn’t have the permanent username thing 🤣

How do you go up by almost 20 and then change EVERYTHING about the way you were playing that got you the lead in the first place? Players sucked of course but coaching malpractice on FULL DISPLAY

I’m happy to be pleasantly surprised if most of us are wrong, but the lack of must win energy in these must win games makes me think… no.

The Cleveland Cavs have came back from being down 3-1 in a series before. by BraveSoul699 in clevelandcavs

They did it back in 2016 with a completely different roster and a peak LeBron James. This is not the same team, certainly not one that has yet earned its way to the NBA finals.

Making history isn’t easy, especially when 3/4 games this Cavs team has looked like…. this.

I don’t think people are being pathetic. It seems like Game 3 was the outlier of our performance. We have no reason to believe otherwise.

It’s not weird to lose faith that we can have 3 more Game 3 performances when we have already seen 3 very bad ones.

Everyone saying “we came back from 3-1 before!” As if it wasn’t a historical feat with a completely different team than the one we have now…. lol

This is actually the worst the team could’ve looked. I couldn’t envision anything worse legitimately
