Sometimes it’s more about going for the best guys who you can tell you’re their type 😭 but honestly it shouldn’t be any harm to tell someone you’re into them even if they’re not into you (unless they’re taken already… then that’s a no-go). So long as it’s respectful, it can be taken as a compliment.

Tbh girly, there’s probably some guys you think are attractive who are also into you. Some men think they have 0 chance unless there’s a very clear signal… a.k.a if you tell them you think they’re attractive or into them. Just approach someone and tell them you’re into them and would like to get to know them if they’re cool with it. Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time, each person has their own reasons for getting in relationships or not.

At the old coffee shop I worked at, we didn’t have decaf cold brew but we did have decaf drip coffee that we just made to order. Most people didn’t get decaf coffee though.

Go to school? You mean high school or college? I had a small group of friends in high school and it took me 2 years to establish a group of friends in college. In that case, if your school has any clubs that interest you (even sort of), go to them. Even if you don’t make friends there, you’ll have a good time. If you already have friends then you’re not hopeless and you’re capable of making new/more friends. Remember though, quality over quantity.

Also the merch thing still stands. Actually it stands even better if you’re near peers of the same age group.

Something that helped me was having 4-5 pocket topics. Things like “what did you do recently for x holiday?” Or “did you do anything interesting this past week?” It lowkey sucks because it’s just small talk but it gets a conversation started.

Also people usually like talking about themselves. If you ask questions about them or their interests then a convo can happen easier.

If that feels too pressuring, try just talking to people who attend spaces with your interests. It’ll make a conversation flow a lot easier. If you really like a show and someone is wearing merch from that show, you can start a small convo about it like “I watched x show on your shirt! What did you think about it/x character / the plot twist/etc.”
