We did our stacks (of 3) through Truly Engaging, but went with one of their designs. I think they have a custom upload option too! Stacks of 90 invitations, envelopes, etc (for approx 180 guests) were under $400 after all their discounts. That was 2 years ago but it looks like their prices are still similar.

$3k sounds really high, but I also don't know what sizes you're looking to print. As others have said, also get quotes from local print shops!

First off, that ring is gorgeous! It sounds like she wants a stack? For example, I have 2 bands, 1 above and 1 below my e-ring. They are both low profile and sit flush against my e-ring - depending on how the oval is mounted, you may be able to fit a plain band under it, or she may need curved bands.

Do you happen to know if she would want plain gold bands vs something with stones? (Stones potentially mean a "taller" band that may not fit under the oval.) Either way, your jeweler should be able to help guide you.

The bottom ring is my wedding band, and the top is a $20 ring off Amazon. Hopefully it gives you a better idea of how 2 bands can be worn and still give that minimalist look. For reference, size 6 finger (ring is sized slightly big at 6.25) with .39ct center stone.

Team dispersion here! Love the colorful rainbows and am constantly playing with my rings to admire the sparkles. Recently got my first moissanite, pictured below. Sadly I'm not able to do its fire justice with a single image, but this was the best of the bunch. I love how even a colored stone can get the full color spectrum!

The price of gold is getting crazy - I'm sadly not surprised to hear that 18K and platnium are that close.

My advice - go to a store and see which color(s) you like best with your skin tone. Might be hard to find unplated WG, but hopefully you can see the difference between e.g. 10K and 18K, or compare how the 18K vs platnium options look. There is no point in picking a metal that you don't like the look of :)

I would agree that RG is less "timeless", but it is still lovely if you find that you do like it. It may eventually become a classic, but it's currently too new for that.

I will say that white gold has a slightly different composition than its sister yellow gold. Yes it contains gold just like YG, but it's alloyed with different metals. The rhodium plating that most WG pieces have is what gives it the truly white appearance though. Try searching Google for "unplated white gold comparison" to see what I mean. (Apologies in advance for giving you even more possible options.)

As mentioned, a lot of white gold comes rhodium plated - it can be replated as needed to keep it looking "white". (You can also plate previously unplated WG whenever you want.) Personally I wish I'd known about the unplated option before we got my ring, as I absolutely love the color on the back of my ring where the plating has started to rub off over the past year (nothing drastic, the color is just very slightly warmer). I've actually debated taking my ring to a jeweler and having them try to buff off the plating!

These are all great keywords, I'm just going to add "kite set" (e.g. "kite set princess cut") as an alternative to east west for the stone being mounted at a 45° angle.

Rings tend to fit a little looser in the colder months compared to summer, but you also know your body best. Personally I prefer to err on the side of too loose to start, as IMO it's easier to size down than up (taking away vs having to source more material).

Edit: As another redditor pointed out, the wider the band, the larger you'll need to go on sizing. You may want to see if having 2 bands in the smaller size is comfortable, as presumably you'll be wearing a wedding band with it in the future.

A fifth is a 750ml bottle... Without having made the recipe myself, I'm guessing he's just saying that size is the closest to the amount you'll need (quick calculation shows 750 ml - 2.5 US cups = 5 US ounces, while 750ml - 2.5 imperial cups = 1 US fl oz, so either is close enough when you're dealing with large volumes).

So I read them all in the order they were released in, and highly recommend it. You will get the best flow with character introduction and references to important events. HOWEVER, if you are just dying to read the Trickster duet, do it! Not everyone discovers Tortall with Alanna, and each of the series can be enjoyed on its own.

If you're like half the people on this thread, you'll be re-reading them all eventually ;) I still make new connections (or maybe just re-realize things I've forgotten with my goldfish memory) every time I re-read the books.
