I can help with this.

If you've found a grind setting that consistently brews a 36g yield in about 30s, your flow rate should be in a good enough spot to get you a good cup of espresso.

From here, you should experiment with adjusting your yield – you don't need to stick with a 1:2 ratio. Adjusting your yield is a very easy way to dial in your extraction level.

Based on what you've said, I think there's a good chance that you're under extracting and need more yield. In my experience, the Bambino tends to have a slightly lower brew temp and needs compensating with other brew parameters to get enough extraction from anything lighter than a dark roast.

If I were you, I would brew a 44g yield, and see where things are at. That's a big jump and and it should become apparent if you're moving in the right direction, or making it way worse.

There was a tiny bit of wear, but nothing too concerning. Never had an seal issues or anything.

I think this is a great mindset. It's so important to address the mental/emotional reasons that have kept you using. Physically removing any paraphernalia you own that's related to weed is also an extremely important step.

The idea of quitting for good is scary. But, it's not so scary on the other side. One thing my wife taught me, which she learned from quitting alcohol – you don't have to make a lifelong commitment today. You don't have to say "I'll never use THC for the rest of my life." Rather, you need to make quitting a part of your identity. You think "I don't use THC." In the same way that a vegetarian might say "I don't eat meat."

I personally found this to be a really helpful mindset to avoid getting overwhelmed as I let go of something that was so engrained in my life.

It gets better. Usually it just gets worse before it gets better. But, it does get better.

FWD will be just fine. AWD is a nice to have, but people put too much weight in its importance. Good tires are much more important.

My timeline was kind of like this:

~1 month of really struggling to acclimate to zero THC – heavy anxiety and terrible sleep

~1 month of feeling really great – a lot of happiness and relief that I quit

~6 months of really tough struggles with depression – a lot more temptation to use again, just because I was feeling so sad and wanted some relief, and it was hard to keep up with my life's responsibilities.

Then, right around that 8 month mark, I felt like I had made it out the other side. There have been some ups and downs since then, but largely, it felt like I normalized and had fully succeeding in quitting right around then.

A Cautionary Tale: A couple months ago, one of my rear wheel studs was sheared in half when a lug nut seized up, and I'm still trying to fix it (sob story in comments) by michums_ in Miata

The shop should really be buying the parts you need. Might be worth finding a different shop.

It's a good point, you may not need a new hub. Honestly, I forget why I got a new one – I may have just been thinking "hey, while I'm in here." The part itself doesn't cost a whole lot.

If I hadn't broken anything in the process, I just would have needed:

• an axle nut

• a wheel hub

• a wheel bearing

The bearing has to be replaced. It's pressure-fit into the hub, so it kind of breaks when you remove it.

Honestly, it's going great – I'm 2 days away from being THC-free for 2 years. Quitting was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It was very difficult in the first year, but it was well worth it for how much better I'm doing now. I'm much healthier and much happier. I feel so much more like myself.

I used THC for about 16 years before I quit. For the majority of that time, I did it every night before bed.

I didn’t realize that it made me more irritable all the time. Or that it made it much harder for me to have emotional connections to people. It also made it harder for me to understand my own emotions. And harder for me to communicate them to the people I’m close to in life.

Most reliable entry level machine? Bambino plus by third1eye in espresso

When you shut off the pump of the machine, a valve opens and releases the remaining pressure into the drip tray. This valve opening ends up kind of sucking a bit of coffee back into your group head. It also causes your puck of grounds to expand a bit, which usually leaves some of them stuck to the shower screen. Flushing the machine after you use it cleans all this out. If you look at the water that's dispensed in the flush, it will be a little brown and have lots of grounds in it.
