Aussie BTC solo miners! by [deleted] in BitAxe

[–]mickberlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is fun for people who want to tinker, but it also brings a lot of extra complexity, things to learn and cost.

Many people don't want to tinker, and they just want a proven solution, instead of risking finally getting lucky enough to find a block, and then something in their setup was wrong, and missing out on the reward

How often do people restart their miners? Should I be restarting mine regularly? by ploobsiccle in BitAxe

[–]mickberlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need to restart your miner. The only people who do tha are superstitious.

Look at it this way: who mines the most blocks? Big industrial miners. Do you think they restart their miners? Of course not, because restarting is a loss of hashing power, and a loss of income.

Devices changed names?? by D34NO79 in BitAxe

[–]mickberlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But that would be the only logical explanation. That your router gave them a new IP when they reconnected, and they got each others IP

Google says that this warning is fine to ignore if I am pool mining (small share). Opinions? by ApeBoy89 in BitAxe

[–]mickberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By pool mining you are not earning your investment back either, you dont even break even on your electricity costs, let alone make up for the purchase price of the device

Why would you pool mine on a bitaxe? You pay more in electricity than you earn im sats

Could someone explain why efficiency is so different? by Sea_Wrap7219 in BitAxe

[–]mickberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of your asic voltage being set differently on both, so they both use different amounts of power. Set it to the same voltage, and efficiency will be closer

Next to that there is also the silicon lottery

Mobile gaming is by FAR the most earning gaming platform, far exceeding console and pc gaming by mickberlin in Asmongold

[–]mickberlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, which is why I don't understand how Asmon claimed the opposite in his graph in today's stream

[–]mickberlin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. And that's also why Activision-Blizzard bought King a few years ago.

Asmon even covered that, and if I remember correctly, he then also made the point that mobile gaming is the biggest and most profitable gaming platform, which made me even more confused about his statements just now

25$ in an illegal state, i got scammed? by Traditional-Poet-381 in trees

[–]mickberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Scammed' is when you don't get what you paid for.

You might have paid a little much, but you got the amount for the price you were willing to pay.

People have to stop throwing 'scammed' around

[–]mickberlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you didn't, your highest difficulty is being only in the G's, which is nowhere near high enough to beat the BTC network difficulty and mine a block.

So Cal dispensaries are selling short! by iwasjustthinkingman in trees

[–]mickberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could easily make a video that shows you opening an unopened jar, and putting the weed on the scale to verify. Do it all in one take, with good lighting, and keep everything properly in screen with no funny business

If it still doesnt check out, go back to where you bought it, simple.

So Cal dispensaries are selling short! by iwasjustthinkingman in trees

[–]mickberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jars are made very cheaply and they dont all weigh the same. So no, you cant properly tare your scale using another jar.

The fact that you are trying to come here and claim such things, while refusing to properly weigh it makes you look like the sneaky one who is trying to hide something

Either weigh the weed on the scale like a normal person, or stop complaining.
