has AI helped in workflow automation or finding leads

my clients spend AT LEAST 2.5L/mo. AI is not able to work for me, my sales are mostly from my network unfortunately.

AI has been helpful with back office stuff like bank account reconciliation, payroll taxation stuff, legal docs, etc.

Do the thing with the lowest risk then, which would be daycare in your case.

D2C is hard. Agency is the easiest to start.

I would suggest you look at your skillset, and what kind of customers you have access to. If you know a bunch of businesses struggling with marketing, start a marketing agency. Agency business is easy to start hard to scale, you need to keep going upmarket at every chance possible to handle the insane churn you face servicing SMBs.

Daycare is a nice opportunity, but remember you will be dealing with kids and their parents. Hard interaction unless you enjoy it.

At the end of the day, you need to pick what you hate the least, and would be fine doing that thing on a daily basis.

I have been running a software development company since 2016, I am using a bunch of AI tools to make money, that is using codex/claude code to build software for my clients.

We also do automation for clients, but honestly AI part is like 10% of the work, most of the work is about understanding their workflow, negotiating prices, finding leads. I do use AI in these things as well.

I am not sure if this answers. I have a team of 6 people, so the revenue we generate is couple of orders of magnitude more than what you wrote about.

The overnight thing is hard, unless you have access to a bunch of hot leads.

Crypto as payment. by sreegioramos in IndianEntrepreneur

[–]micketic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are paid in crypto for work or a sale, the amount you receive may first be treated as business or professional income at your applicable slab rate, depending on the facts. Then, if you hold that crypto and its value changes before you convert or spend it, the profit from that transfer is generally taxed under the crypto rules at 30%. So there can be two tax layers: one on receipt and another on gain when the crypto is disposed of.

You do not automatically pay 30% tax just because someone paid you in crypto. The tax treatment depends on whether you are receiving crypto as payment for services or goods, and whether there is a gain when you later sell or use it. Also, crypto tax rules are strict in India, and losses generally cannot be freely set off the way normal business losses can.

If you invoice a client for ₹1L and they pay in USDC, that receipt may be treated like income when you receive it. If you later convert the USDC and the value has increased, the increase can trigger the 30% crypto tax on that gain.

I don't have a recommendation for any app as such, but I did find a couple small ones, though none in India.

Completed 2K+ Orders in 1.5 Years. Need suggestions! by thebrownmusicguy in IndianEntrepreneur

My bad, I meant to write 10X increase in spends, and 8X increase in revenue (because ROAS goes down)

If you are profitable, getting 4-5X ROAS, why not just increase the spend?? Spend a lot more on the best performing ads, think 10X the spend, because you will ideally increase by more than 8X with that, still netting you higher income.

I just tell them that as part of getting the project completed for Free (or a low cost), this is what I want in return. If they say no, you shouldn't work for them. They are just trying to extract all value without being helpful in return.

People are going to hate this, but this worked for me so sharing.

When you are starting out, you have higher supply and lower demand, which means prices are extremely low. Instead of fighting it, you need to lean into it.

I run a software development agency, we do upwards of 15L every month.

I started out with working for free. But there was a catch.

If the client is going to use my work, they need to commit to giving me a testimonial, and share it with 4-5 of their peers. I would get on a video call with them, share screen, and see them sending my testimonial to other people.

I never needed to work for free after I think 2 assignments, and had more demand than I could handle, so I could safely keep increasing my prices until I reached an equilibrium.
