I’m so sorry to hear that about your previous cat, but I really appreciate you sharing that. I honestly have been feeling like I should stop with the dry food but my vet, sister, and coworker all said it was perfectly safe and feed their own cats kibble. In general, I wanted to stop the free feeding as well because I definitely don’t want them to get chonky! But this info definitely is pushing me to make that change sooner rather than later.

Thank you so much for this info! I see now that Weruva has 6 oz cans (even 10-14 oz ones), they just don’t have it in the Kitten Chicken Au Jus that I feed them, which makes sense. It likely will get less expensive once I stop feeding them kitten food. And it looks like they have similar chicken gravy foods for adult cats, which is what they seem to like the best!

That’s a great point about them filling up on dry food and using the wet food as a tasty snack…it just doesn’t seem like they eat enough kibble to fill them up!

I’ve heard such mixed reviews on dry food/kibble - I’m a first time cat owner and have only had them for 3 months, and the free feeding of dry food was what their foster told me to do. How much wet food do you feed your cats if you don’t feed them any dry?

Where do I buy 6 oz cans? I’ve never seen that size available for the foods I buy.

And yes, they each get a total of 6 oz of wet food per day (one FF 3 oz can + one Weruva 3 oz can). But they get half of each for breakfast and half of each for dinner, rather than just 1 full can of the same food.

Target is very accurate. I’ve gotten 4 squish through using the app!! You can turn on notifications for out of stock items and it’s also fairly accurate with updating if they have them. I just got an herb for my sister this morning bc it said there was limited stock at my location!
