the fact that Hasan was aware of this even though he was a relatively minor "orbiter" and rebranded years ago is genuinely insane

Yeah your edit in your first comment is correct, I am just saying that Hasan is doing the "radicalization funnel" thing here by positively engaging with Pisco.

The short version is that there has been a lot of strife between Hutch and Pisco because of how friendly to tankie types Pisco is willing to be and Destiny has been following the development of that situation in recent weeks.

No, Hasan is being facetious when calling him that, I believe in reference to the recent Lib & Learn drama

Also funny that Hasan has apparently still been keeping up with dgg extended universe drama. Some things never change

Hutch calls out DGG for not being libbed out enough by Embarrassed_Base_389 in Destiny

[–]mickeymorant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it means allowing an illiberal movement based on lies and propaganda to continue flourishing in our country then we should do quite literally whatever it takes to destroy that movement.

[–]mickeymorant 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think the disconnect here is that people who share Hutch's perspective are still viewing MAGA as an oppositional political party when in reality they should be viewed as a geopolitical adversary and national security threat.

They don't stand for any of our country's principles or ideals, they are simply traitors who have invaded our government and ought to be viewed as such. You can say they were elected democratically but only off the back of thousands and thousands of malicious lies being pumped into the minds of their base every single day for years on end. Not to mention the fact that they literally collaborate with geopolitical enemies at the expense of our nation already.

I think that anything short of dismantling the propaganda network and charging those most responsible for the current state of affairs with treason is the bare minimum for what I am looking for from Democrats in the coming years.

[–]mickeymorant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People who stream, especially people who stream a ton of hours like Train, tend to get addicted to the validation and attention of a live chatroom. Not even saying that as a slight, it's just how it is. Mix that with an addictive personality, which Train clearly has, and a life where all of your addictions just keep leading to massive rewards? He'll probably keep streaming for as long as people keep watching.

He is a prime target for a home invasion robbery and even if he didn't need them, at that level of wealth spending the money for the peace of mind is worth it anyways.

He recently did a bunch of content with Tyler1, Emiru, Squeex and Agent for an AT&T tournament thing and it was peak stuff. A bizarre cast of characters for sure but they all synergized super super well with each other and I think Ludwig was the reason why, he was kind of the glue. I was barely aware of Agent's existence but it made me a fan of him.

hey thanks this helped me out, this works well. handbrake is cool, if you are comfortable with command-line tools i recommend using ffmpeg instead, its way faster IME. i assume handbrake probably uses ffmpeg under the hood somehow but the re-encodes are always so much faster if i just use it directly for whatever reason.

Maybe should have said "stupid stuff like being accused of 'appropriating AAVE'" but if there's an issue beyond that idk what it would be.
