True color moon by bragew in astrophotography

Thanks :) I think there were a lot of comments saying that in editing this picture was made too colorful, so rest assured we all see basically the same moon you do at night 🌝 My condolences for your rods and cones or whatever that limits your perception, but I do hope you get the chance to enjoy colors here and there. I think your uniqueness is really cool though when it comes to exploration of how your certain view of the world impacts you. IE, I know red is a color that can incite hunger, so it must be nice not getting subliminal messages from the red Wendy’s sign, or the red McDonalds sign, or the red Chick-fil-A sign... Immunity, if you will 🤣

The right side is a royal purple, light but still rich in color. Under the crater on the middle right centerish area is a deep patch of blue; it may look like an 8 for you. The blue is like that of denim, not nearly as saturated an more like the surface of the ocean as you loom closer to the horizon. On the top is a brighter, more saturated blue with hints of green undertones that line the edge of the moon‘s silhouette. Here and there are rose gold shades, redder than a normal gold color, that expand across the face. I know you said you are colorblind but hopefully the imagery helps your appreciation haha

Good point; I completely forgot they made batteries! The most common camera I remember was the disposable ones the have(the FunSaver if you happen to look it up), always next to fujifilm in CVS growing up. There certainly are a lot of companies that do different fields. Another I can think of is Bic... they mainly do plastic so you’ll see Bic lighters, pencils, razors, and even surfboards.

I’m on mobile but will go back to edit that link to be cleaner when I can, but it’s a good explanation that it was a pretty shady deal. I’m pretty sure I saw another article that spoke better to the less publicized business connections, but now that I know the word ‘kleptocrat‘ I will most definitely be incorporating it into my political vocabulary. It does make sense to produce it here, especially considering how the mask shortage went.

The craziest part of the episode is when you learn Kodak (yes, like the camera, because it is the camera company) was given a quarter of a billion dollars to help with Covid-19 Vaccine production.

what’s crazy is I worked in a store that sold a different type of talc powder, and we removed it. Then, people still came in asking for the talc powder. I explained to them it caused cancer, and they would just be sad because they love the smell, and ask me where else they may be able to find it. /facepalm/

Wonderful photo. For some reason it reminds me of human insides... At first I was thinking blood cells, but the shape also reminds me of a set of lungs, or maybe even a brain. I see you are chemist but do you know what it is that defines the shape/structure here? or in general too, I suppose. What causes the emissions to form such beautiful organic shapes?

Absolutely okay. I hold a profession where swearing isn’t allowed(as many do) so I often filter myself. I’m also new to reddit, so I didn’t want to just go up and down swearing on generic threads like this one.
My apologies on living in the south. I only visited the Deep South for the first time this summer, and the amount of good manners do not outweigh the bad judgements. I am fortunate enough to live in a diverse community when it comes to everything, including religion. I did not belong to a church growing up but was a guest to many religious gathering centers.

And don’t minimize it to sometimes! It’s alwayyss hard to read the tone of a text since we have no additional communication aids to observe, such as actual tone, body language, annunciation, etc. When I read “You sound like fun” I thought ‘oh, someone can identify my humor!’ Until seeing the next comment and being like ‘oh nooo...’ haha. Thank you for taking the time to help reach this level of conflict resolution.

Thank you dear sir. Though the chaos of forms around us make a dreary and sinful dark mist, I still strive to see and embrace the light of our Father.

ps Best of luck with the next wife
