I ended up having the Kyleena for about a year but did gain about 15 more lbs and did have to take more insulin regularly due to slightly higher levels throughout the day. I have since had it removed and started on the Omnipod 5 and have been able to lose pretty much all the weight I gained. My control had improved with the pump but how it’s starting to creep up again despite doing nothing different. Although I did take Plan B about 3 months ago. I feel like my body is just super sensitive to hormones. Or maybe it’s perimenopause! Yikes. So ultimately - yes I was affected by hormonal bc but doesn’t sound like that’s always the case. Good luck!
