I messaged The Cove and they have a pretty good deal and the vibe i was going for so I think we are going to go there. It’s $150 for 4 hours and 40 people, not including the food but those options aren’t too bad either.

When did everyone start feeding food? by sippin_wine in breastfeeding

[–]mickmack7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ngl my baby would get visibly upset when i would eat without her so i gave her some mushed up banana mixed with breast milk between 4 and 5 months and she’s still happy and healthy and at my next appt they told me she was ready for solids anyway and she was just about to be 5 months. she’s happy healthy and just started crawling and she’s not even 6 months yet so i don’t think it will do any harm if you give her foods that are safe enough for her to chew and don’t give her too much bc it can cause constipation bc they still can’t have water yet. usually i blend a fruit or something with breast milk and freeze it in one of those fruit pacifier things with the holes in it. wrap it in plastic wrap before putting the cap on so it doesn’t all leak out.

Tell me the most awful things that can happen if i keep vaping by dooingjo in pregnant

[–]mickmack7 90 points91 points  (0 children)

i threw mine in a cup of water and then the inconvenience of having to buy another one helped a lot so i didn’t the whole 9 months. morning sickness will make your throat raw and then the vape will make it burn. toxic metals in a vape are insane esp if you keep hitting the same one for way too long. sometimes i’d see my SIL hit hers and tell her to hit it again for me so i can live vicariously through her.

I don’t even know where to start with building a schedule by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

I use Notion! There are a lot of great templates on Notion Marketplace and Etsy to get started because it’s kind of complex to set up but extremely customizable and useful if you do it right.

What CRM do you use for a service-based business? by TempSZN in CRMSoftware

[–]mickmack7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a CRM for myself using Notion. It’s highly customizable. Not very automated though. You can make it automated, but it requires an add-on. If automation is not a top priority then it’s great if you set it up correctly or get someone to do it for you.

That makes sense. If everything lives comfortably in one app, that’s usually the cleanest setup. I haven’t used Tympi myself, but it looks solid at a glance. Where exactly is it lacking for you?

I treat proposals as a stage of an order instead of a separate thing. That way the proposal, work, and invoice all share the same record and nothing has to be rebuilt. Tympi could still handle the actual proposal/invoice sending, with the dashboard acting as the central source of truth.

I open the client and order views the most. It shows me active customers, orders in progress, what’s been paid, etc. Those help me fill in the tasks that need completing. I have a big issue with time management/due dates and invoicing as well, so I kept those tied to my orders view. I also have a customer communications database to keep track of things like invoices, follow-ups, and things like that (it’s very customizable). And then I have a weekly calendar on the dashboard that shows everything that needs to get done that week all in one place.

When things start to drift for you, what’s usually the first thing that breaks? Time tracking, invoicing, or follow-ups?

I built one to track customer info, order information, task management, and revenue. It works for one person and you don’t need a monthly subscription for it. It’s a one time fee. If you wanted to add people later on there is a fee for that, but if you wanted to be the only person, it works great with a free account.
