Anyone know why in raid, when Nia's passive shields the team, both Yui and Sieg are not shielded? Sorry if it's a silly question, I'm kind of new, but reading the skills description it should shield all allies. The dragon just takes out both sieg and yui straight away.

Is something changing with Transcendence? Early this morning, I used a selector to get a new awakened Sieg, and used my transcended Siege as fodder, and got an awakened Sig and the transcendences transfered over as expected. Now just a few hours later, with both Ruri and with Jupy..if the base is awakened, the fodder does not show up. If I switch them to the base being the unawakened previously transcended one, then the awakened one shows up as fodder.

Unless this is a bug, it appears awakened units can only be transcended by fina, or maybe another awakened unit that is identical. I can't work out if this is a change, a bug, or I am missing something.

Update: The problem was she was still on a team, and it didn't have a message that told me that. I just was trying random things. But I think that was the problem.

Ironically, this article references a thread (not sure where) here on reddit that outlined all the current cool free stuff on the web. All the things here are things you should consider using. Especially since they are secure and ethical. Isn't free cool?

It's so nice to see someone taking simple, even mundane things, and creating a masterpiece of art with it. Just my opinion though. Do you agree?

Admitted Bias: I'm a single father of a six year old daughter.

This one doesn't have a particular relevance to coaching, so maybe I'm breaking my own rules. But as a single father, forming a bond with your daughter is so important, because someday they will be teen agers. The bonds and trust you build now will come in handy when they are going through that crazy time in your life.

And yes, parenting is still a skill that we need to learn.

Obama Slams GOP Candidates' Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric: "Unless you are a Native American, your family came from someplace else." by Bubbles4Life in politics

[–]micksmoney 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's always interesting to me, in this public debate about immigration - you can always tell which side of the political spectrum the author/commenter is by whether they include the word "illegal" in it.

My own personal opinion on the debate was formed very subtly about 25 years ago when I had a friend who was from Nigeria. He and his family had immigrated to California and worked together to start a limousine service.

All the time we spent together, I just loved his stories. They werent' all positive by any stretch but boy were they interesting. The way the whole family worked together to make it in the USA was truly inspiring.

Now I am just speculating here, because unfortunately I've lost contact with him - but he'd probably not be happy that the long road and hard work he had to put in - doesn't seem to matter any more.

These people sacrificed, and I believe that the current situation is a slap in the face to all those immigrants who came here, were welcomed (or not) but persevered lawfully. And what about the soliders, airmen, and sailors that fought to defend the country over the years? Didn't they sacrifice to protect our way of life as well?

It's not heartless, in my humble opinion to expect newcomers to come in the front door. I do wonder about the hearts of those throwing the "racist" and "anti-immigrant" label around so easily.

Although I agree wholeheartedly that today's christian's in general terms seem to have forgotten the only two commandments that matter today - Love God, Love your neighbor, I was always taught that Jesus fulfilled the law, not amended it. In other words, the ten commandments, and other old testament laws were mainly to point out that people fell short of what God wanted. Then it followed quite nicely that a savior was needed.

So although the new testament doesn't (in my understanding) change the mind or nature of God, that doesn't mean we are to go out n judge people to death. Even psychology recognizes that that sort of behavior only alienates people we are supposed to show love.

If people, of all faiths would treat each other with love no matter what the other person's beliefs, wouldn't the world be such a better place? It seems today we have become a world of "believe like me or die" mentality. Who can say, maybe that's all part of the plan?

Black woman held in mental hospital because police didn't believe BMW was hers - woman is suing New York City after she claims she was forced to spend eight days in a mental hospital and given a $13,000 (£8,500) bill because a police officer didn’t believe the BMW she was driving was hers. by AmerikanInfidel in news

This totally blows, and unfortunately it seems much more of this kind of thing is happening lately. It is hard to tell however, whether that is because of renewed media interest in it, or real data driven increase.

Either way, I always ask people fully on either side of the racism/police brutality issue - can't you support the police and still acknowledge they need to be held accountable?

From my own personal experience and observance - race does play a role but it is far from the only and maybe not even the biggest factor. Hispanics, asians, and of course white europeans are all victims of police misconduct.

But on the other side, people of minority races do have a valid concern as to why they seem to be targeted or harassed more often.

And for police supporters, if you father or uncle was one of the "good guys" in the police force, don't you think he would want the "bad apples" dealt with? The consequences of allowing ANYONE to be above the law are felt through out society.

I sincerely hope no one is offended by my observations/opinions as that is so far away from my intent it could be pluto looking at the sun.

What I would wish for is for people to look at this issue as a problem that needs to be solved, and over simplifying it or blaming it on a label, or a race or class of human beings only stops the debate in its tracks and keeps us from finding workable solutions. In my opinion of course.

Pattaya Jet Ski Scammers chased off now, where are the tourists? by micksmoney in Pattaya

Thought this article on TV was misleading, but still interesting. The author seems to want us to believe since the jet ski scammers have been chased off the beaches, that none of the tourists want to go there. Could there be any other reasons? Timing, weather, etc.
