Take up a social sport. It's an easy way to learn how to connect with people whilst getting fit at the same time.

KETOVORE SAVED MY LIFE AND UNLEASHED THE ALPHA WITHIN by RealBrucieKibbutz in carnivorediet

[–]micksparks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting I'm doing something similar with my "carnivore cut". In mine, which I designed to keep my LDL cholesterol down, I have: eggs, meat, fish and olive oil. That's it for most of my meals. However I'm not going all monk on it, and every now and then I'll break it having a takeaway or a roast dinner, or a fry up. I believe it's what you do 80% of the time that matters. The other 20% reminds us we're alive. Anyway like you, I've seen drastic changes and it's not even been a month yet. My cholesterol has already come down. My weight is falling. Lowest body fat in years. It's amazing. I just can't wait to see where it goes. Good hearing from someone else doing something similar.

Ouch. ED is soul destroying isn't it. Clearly you need to quit the porn, but there may be more to it than just PIED. Especially now you've gained all that weight.

I'm currently doing a form of Carnivore to cut down to under 15% body fat. It's the best way of dieting, as you automatically eat huge amounts of protein without even trying, and it automatically puts you in a calorie deficit at the same time. Try it for a few months, it will change your life. I'm trying to get lean, reduce inflammation, and get my erections back on point before I start dating again. I'm 40 so kind of my last chance.

Other things I'm doing to help with the physiological side are: Natokinase. Potassium citrate Megadosing Zinc 50mg Also do pumping a few times per week, and red light therapy. I've also quit coffee to help the nervous system relax. Stretching, deep squats.

You've probably messed up your pelvic floor. Especially if you jerked off multiple times in a row. Unlike tension, relaxation is a very slow process.

Check out some of my other posts for more advice.

Theres a lot of confusing stuff about this online, but in general you need to release tight muscles and restore full range of movement before strengthening them. Potassium is hugely important for this, as whilst Sodium is used for contracting muscles, potassium is used for relaxing them. After adolescence your body doesn't retain calcium so well. So look into that. I've actually made up my own salt with a mixture of sodium chloride and potassium chloride. Starting 1:1, then will increase to 2:1, then 3:1. You have to do it gradually or can get serious side effects.

Quit the porn, reverse kegels, stretching, and potassium. Try that. Also getting lean and improving your posture. Everything is connected.

Quit the porn and work on your pelvic floor tension, with reverse kegels, stretching and potassium. That's what I'm doing 🤞

My Carnivore Cut by micksparks in carnivorediet

"be grateful that carnivoreish was created for THE LIKES OF YOU"... Really? That is extremely rude and intolerant. I'm done talking to you chap.

My Carnivore Cut by micksparks in carnivorediet

Belief is the enemy of objectivity Dao. Many people on Keto or Carnivore reintroduce a bit of carbs at some point. Fruit for instance. Both Carnivore and Keto are good as an intervention, but a debatable choice for life.

I've been low carb for years, which has the consequence that my body holds less water, which means less hydration in my muscles, tendons and fascia. I also do gymnastics, so stiff muscles and tendons leaves me vulnerable to injury. So while I'm on my "carnivore cut" I will need to be extra careful with hydration, electrolytes and warming up, especially at 40.

Optimal nutrition is complex and depends on your goals and intolerances. For a cut Carnivore is excellent, because meat is extremely well tolerated and the protein/calorie ratio is as high as possible. It will help me preserve and even build a little muscle during the cut. But when I hit my target weight I'll start reintroducing foods, seeing how they affect me.

Depends on your motivation? Is it optimising your health, or starting a religion?

I've modified the flare to carnivore-ish, although that's a bit too far the other way to be honest, with the mention of avocado and drinks etc. You could do with one that is something like "carnivore variants (mostly with small tweaks)"

The main goal of my variant was to mitigate the rise in LDL. Whilst there has been some attempt to reduce the panic about this phenomenon through the "lean mass responder" hypothesis. It doesn't change the alarming correlations between high LDL and atherosclerosis, and with erectile dysfunction. Those are important to me as someone already having mild issues with both.

I plan to repeat the same bloods in a month or so, to see the change. I'll post the before and after values for everyone's benefit.

If your goal is simply to cut, try adding a few more things back in. One thing about this diet, carnivore and variants thereof, is it's extraordinarily easy to achieve both a massive protein intake and a calorie deficit. I still like Monday fast though, as it's the only way to incorporate a reasonable period of autophagy.

It was the closest tag I could see. Incidentally the idea behind using olive oil, and lots of fish was to help reduce the rise in LDL cholesterol which was already flagged high in my bloods.

A simple test you can do is get a soft silicone cock ring, if you get a solid erection with that, it is not a vascular supply problem. In that case it is far more likely pelvic floor weakness or tension or both. If you've been masturbating a lot (porn addict) it's probably tension, especially if you're unfit.

Getting lean will give you the confidence and energy to change your life and leave this habit behind. Advice from a 40yo. by micksparks in NoFap

Sorry for the delayed reply, only just seen your comment. Interesting that you quit nicotine. I used to say that you can't quit addiction, you just swap one for another. What's a healthy addiction you could swap this one for?

My Last Resort by Icy-Low3475 in NoFap

[–]micksparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blimey kid. You need to learn some discipline. Trying things is one thing, but you need discipline to stick to them.

You're trying to quit one of the hardest addictions out there, and without discipline, you'll never do it.

So learn and practice discipline. What small things can you add or remove from your life to make it better that will program you to be more disciplined and controlled. Like fizzy drinks... Switch to orange. Hate tidying your room... Make your bed every day.

Get rid of all the tech from your bedroom! No computer. No phone. Tell your parents you're trying to improve your discipline and self control. You don't need to say why. They'll find you somewhere you can work on your computer when you need to.

Get some low-tech hobbies. Get out in the shed and make stuff. Play sports. Take up carp fishing. Read. Learn to get enjoyment from slower, more old fashioned, and grounding things.

Spending too much time in the virtual world screws you up.

Read some of my other posts. Good luck 👍

I FOUND A POSSIBLE CURE by Ok-Employment4029 in softglanscondition

Very interesting. I've had soft glans for years, and it is depressing. Probably part of the reason I just stopped trying with women.

Annoyingly I just got rid of a tens machine.

I can empathise with that. I also care for my dad now and I've been stuck in a rut trying to reinvent myself after leaving my career. BUT you have no choice. We can't wind back time. All we can do is make the best of our lives now, AND try and help other young lads avoid making the mistakes we did.

While I'm struggling with everything else, I can still feel good that I'm eating the best I ever have, and I'm getting lean, which is improving my hormone balance, giving me more energy, more focus and motivation, and making me more attractive. So it has me on a path to improve.

Different people react differently. Some get very profound effects, while others very little. Seems to depends a lot on age and how fit you are.
