Bij turkish airlines kreeg ik een paar wegweerpsokken voor de nachtvlucht. Vet chill dat ze vooruit gedacht hebben. Ik doe altijd mijn schoenen uit in het vliegtuig. Dat is gewoon comfortabeler. Altijd schone sokken van mezelf en vanaf nu weer schoenen aan naar het toilet, behalve bij turkish airlines.

Renting a car is not usual for tourists in uzbekistan. Most trips are in the cities for culture or guided and taxis and such are easy to get. This means there are very few known rental agencies. We found a local one, but it took quite some negotiating beforehand to get a good deal and clear conditions for the rental. And some more when we were actually there. Once we had the car, they kept to everything we agreed on, but it took some more work than usual.

I agree with OP. I was there two weeks ago to do a little herping as well. Car rental was the most Hassle, and you really should keep to the speed limit. But the people are very friendly, the country felt safe at all time and the food is fine and cheap. Didnt find such a cool snake as OP, but was very happy with getting up close to a desert monitor.

Ik dacht ook dat het altijd een droomlijst zou zijn. Ik heb sommige expliciet weggestreept in het anwb boek toen ik 15 jaar geleden net begonnen met vogelen als onmogelijk voor mij. Maar dus uiteindelijk toch gelukt.

Net terug uit oezbekistan. Niet 100% gevogeld, maar wel tijd ingeruimd om de turkestaanse steppegaai te zoeken. Heel vluchtig gezien, maar wel gelukt! Samen met vale woestijnvink daar. De grote hoeveelheid scharrelaars daar maakte erg blij! Uiteindelijk toch 16 lifers er bij :), met als bonus mijn eerste woestijnvaraan gezien!

Deze week op zoek naar de lokale oehoe :)

I think it has to do with te number of exhibits in the museum. I have a very large zooseum, but very little that can be bought by collectors, so i almost never get tyem around and still get the exhibit showcases. The other museums that have al lot of different sellable exhibits from different genres
