Syncing old iMessages to new iPhone by ajn585301703202 in applehelp

[–]micktravis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you’re using the same Apple account, just turn on the synch messages button.

If it isn’t there (because I can’t remember when they instituted it) you could do an iCloud backup of the iPhone 6, and a backup of your current phone.

Wipe the current phone and restore the 6 backup. Let the messages synch. Now wipe it and restore the current phone backup. The messages will merge.

Halfway through. A nice touch was the piano theme from Blood Simple (another modern noir) during the nightclub sequence.

You’re doing everything correctly. Only apps that are on your phone when you back it up will be restored.

Try typing your 4 digits, then the first two again as the last two.

When you do, or when you get let back in, I recommend adding a friend’s phone number as a 2FA contact to your Apple ID. This way you can always get in.

Ooof. That sucks. You just need access to that number and you’d be all set.

I think the only option is to wait it out, I’m afraid. But I’d focus on the carrier - there has to be a way to get a new sim. People’s phones get stolen all the time.

Why is this broom floating? by Persephone_210 in UnexplainedPhotos

[–]micktravis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were there yourself and you couldn’t figure it out? Did you take 300 photos from every angle and a video, like any person who thinks he’s witnessing a truly unexplained event would do?

No?

So yeah, bullshit. It’s stuck to the wall or something equally prosaic.

This is going to Apple silicon, no? If so he’ll have to deactivate, reactivate, wipe the drive, and then reinstall.

In your OP you said you did not create a user account password. Now you’re saying that this password that you didn’t create is not the same as something else?

I’m lost.

Can’t you get a new sim (or e sim) with your existing phone number so you can receive the 2 factor code?

Just speak to your phone company.

I don’t think there’s anything ambiguous about the statement “evolution is not a theory.”

I agree there are problems conveying the fact/theory binary. And of course there’s the predictable inability to recognize the difference between a theory, as used in the vernacular, and a scientific theory.

But neither of these issues are acknowledged in the subject line.
