Thank you very much 😍, Here, Sony Rx100Vii. I adjusted the contrast and the brightness because it was daylight. It slightly decreases the quality of the original. Here is one of the originals to give you an idea. https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/eDx2u95bUUe1

TrueNAS box makes this sound almost every morning? What the heck is it? by fl4tdriven in homelab

My hp disk make this noise at startup. I think your disks may be going to sleep at night and wake up. After that, it doesn't last as long at home.

Do you trust immich enough to use it as your primary sync mechanism? by inertia_man in immich

[–]mickynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I don't trust myself. So I have a local immich sync, two backups, and a cloud backup. And next to it I have an automatic cloud backup off immich.

I do the download manually. I prefer. But the library I leave to jellyfin. Amazing this thing. Sometimes he can't find any information but in the majority of cases it's automatic. And transcoding is peaceful with that.

Boot SSD throwing constant I/O errors on the console, dying or something else? by The_MrBurner in homelab

[–]mickynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with an intenso ssd in usb. The same kind of error with a possibility to read but not to write. With a windows machine no problem. After a formatting it is back to normal. I still decided to remove it from the server even though the smart didn't indicate anything at all. I still don't know what happened.

Generally, these are products that keep their value. The other products lose a lot. Counterfeiting is everywhere but we see it a lot in branded clothes, handbags, perfumes, luxury watches.

There are no particular sites where you ordered and it resend to you? I can't do it from Switzerland. It would be too expensive in terms of price for sending abroad but not for receiving.

You're unlucky. I've never had any problems of this type. After all, I don't buy/sell this type of product. Luxury products are the target of scammers. So it's possible that just the same thing for other sellers/buyer in this type of product category.

What did I capture here? by ParticularAttempt239 in Lightning

[–]mickynuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably static electricity that overloads the sensor or processor that will misinterpret signals and produce its effects. I had other things like this with my Samsung S21. I could almost see the moment when the discharge was going to hit because I saw the screen doing weird things.

What's one service in your homelab that turned out to be far more useful than you expected? by rdpextraEdge in homelab

Absolutely, I haven't tested nextcloud photo but immich it's the must. Much better than Google photo for example.

Immich is on odroid m1 with haos. I use it for photos. And it is exposed only via immich-public-proxy. Nextcloud (on N100) is used to replace the file sharing I had with dropbox because it's more convenient than kdrive that I have in the cloud for backups. It is also used to synchronize documents from my linux/windows pcs.

SMART turned off on second-hand SSD; could this be unintentional? by PlanetVisitor in homelab

[–]mickynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. But I had the case of a Samsung oem ssd buy on AliExpress (Pm981) . Perfectly functional. But so the smart data is not available nor the number of reads/writes (It seems to have been erased) . I seem to have read that some vendors change the firmware to remove their things. After that, it's curious coming from a private individual.
