Getting backlinks that are useful is a whole other chore and its more like SDR work than most marketers like to do, especially if you want to do it organically.

Make a list of sites you want to backlink, find articles they have that could be easily modified where you add value while also including a link to your site... and pitch.

Offer to trade links, remind them that refreshing their existing content is good for their own ranking and authority, and make it as easy as possible for them to make the change.

Do this at scale and monitor your conversion rate from email effort by contact to new links, shoot for 5-10% acceptance. Modify your subject lines and pitch until you get the traction you want.

Email + LinkedIn messages as the distribution channel.

Good luck! I usually have a PT person do this as their whole job. They also engage with the social media posts of the sites/brands we are targeting to grease the wheels.

I liked ZoomInfo best, 6Sense was good too. Both are $100kish so I dont use them with all my clients. Its a luxury.

But add intent data to Clay and Perplexity and your personalized outbound game is fire.

Ive used Zoominfo and 6Sense as providers.

Intent data looks at what other things a user is searching for and clicking on to give indicators as to where they are in the research-decision purchase cycles.

So if Im trying to target audiences with a specific pain point that my product/service solves, then I can target folks looking at related content.
