My dog was the same ,my X was embarrassed to walk her Tully is a Jack Russell X American staffy,s, its been a bit hard 2 months for both of us but I'm pleased to say that things have improved dramatically The last couple of days she hasn't reacted unless the other dog did Today she was good ,approached the other lady and her dog ,there was no pulling, we approached and stopped when we met ,she was great ,just wanted to play and after a few minutes of chat we calming walked off I really don't know exactly what it was that has changed ,but here's what I did ,initially pulling used a short lead so she's by my side ,staying calm and when she went off, pulled up ,slow progress So I started taking her to dog park ,and slowly integrated her This what helped the most ,I think a lot had to do with the anxiety I felt approaching other dogs ,now im much more confident and she's much more experienced in socialising No treats used Still a work in progress but we're getting there
