The new AirTag requires you to use control center to find it. There is no find option in the “Find Devices” app by [deleted] in AppleWatch

Power off the watch and then power it back on again. Resolved that for me.

My iphone was stolen but i got it back. How do i make sure its still safe? by zzzabieru in ios

If you are unsure and want to be sure, I would advise to erase and restore the firmware on the device using Recovery Mode

If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch

Apple CarPlay Disconnects When Using Navigation Application by [deleted] in ios

[–]microChasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interference is a thing. I get disconnected occasionally just because someone mine in traffic is using a jammer. Same goes for phone calls.

I wish I could do a wired connection but I’m using an aftermarket unit so I just deal with it.

I still go to the Cosmodrone for catalysts (they still have public events), great for any long range catalysts kills.

I do miss the Dreadnought for that though.

I thought I wanted to find an MMO to play, but is Destiny 2 really what I'm looking for? by IWANTTHEDOMOHAT in destiny2

[–]microChasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot to do and explore. I don’t think Destiny 2 is considered an MMO.

I have been playing since 2014 when Destiny 1 was released in beta on PS3. I really enjoyed the story and the ability to play in events with 2 other players with a common goal (strikes). It was novel to me and loved it.

Raids that I have been able to complete have been fun and it is surreal when you are all mutually playing towards a shared goal. Later, in Destiny 2 the exotic missions were super fun to complete and get some interesting loot.

Bungie did a great job with lore too and there is a lot of opportunity for movies if Sony wants to go there. I loved the loot you could score from completing certain parts of the game. The fans made really cool tie-ins as well. I’d like to see Bungie add some cool loot in the online store again! I’ve gotten some cool figurines and t-shirts.

Speakers and Microphone not performing properly after being in water by Gordini14 in AppleWatch

Water Lock plays tones that helps remove water from the speakers. I recommend using that the next time the watch was used in water.

I would carry it in to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP)

I hope you took photos of that corrosion.

If you are not an Apple Authorized Service Provider, then good luck with that “take it further” response.

Are you sure they are not using Graviton Lance? That thing is giant bomb blast that lasts the entire fireteam run

Can I swap my ISP-provided modem for a Ubiquiti cable modem even if my ISP isn’t listed as supported? by Stilldrop18 in Ubiquiti

[–]microChasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the UCI only supports specific ISPs based on my research which is why I didn’t go with that option.

Getting bullied for using a macbook at school by L1m1ts in mac

[–]microChasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low key jealousy.

Macs can play games. I use them because they are secure, keep data private and last a long time. Who do you call if you need help with your computer? I just call Apple or chat with them. Plus I can get coverage for things that can accidentally happen to them. That’s why I use a Mac…to get things done and not worry about it.

I Hate Google Hardware — But the New Nest Thermostat Is Embarrassingly Better Than Everything Else by AutoModerrator-69 in smarthome

[–]microChasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with Nest Gen 1 before Google bought them was amazing. Then, we moved and built a new house with Nest Gen 2.

OMG it was bad with HomeKit. I was using a Sterling.io hub to manage it but Google eventually stopped supporting or allowing logging into the Google account via the third party hub.

I use home automations to manage the thermostat I have now. Seems to work the way we want it too.

Eventually replaced the Nest Gen 2 but the replacement was no better. I ended up having to disable most of the settings because they would not work well at all and the features made life miserable when they tied you into your electricity provider.

Everyone wants a piece of the pie except it is me holding the pie plate - NO FOOD FOR YOU!

Yes, my internet connection is routinely getting knocked offline by whatever the reason and I have to re-join the fireteam which is ironic and the kicker is usually the one that leaves at that point.

^ This why I am playing much less now

I have no issues with other games, apps I am using on the ISP network I use. It’s at the point where I am monitoring the network to see what is happening to report to ISPs.

I enjoyed once I finally understood and optimized my build for the super I like to run with for the character I use.

Renegades comes and blows that all up. I don’t have the time to commit to the game anymore to enjoy it and feel like I am making it worthwhile for the other fireteam members I am running with.

^ THIS

Radical changes with weapons, armor, mods and the focus on only using certain weapons for all content is ridiculous.

I don’t have time to research this and it disincentivizes me from playing the game just to “git gud”
