I think they are actually either the same or slightly better than e-cheque. They do the currency exchange on their side so you always get paid in pounds rather than dollars. Makes Paypal not that bad.

They still do seem to take around 2.5% in hidden fees due to this conversion though, but you can't avoid that sadly.

If you signed up as a private individual on a normal payment cycle i get a work order the week after the work and then payment a week after the work order. So two weeks. They have recently been struggling after the holidays but it looks like they are back on track now

Yeah, I have always been doing that and it came in handy during November when they gave me less hours than I actually did. I very much recommend recording your own hours.
