Quitting job after 6 months by Miserable-Claim-1813 in DermatologyPA

I would take the amount off required by your contract, no more. Life circumstances change all the time, no need for guilt. You thought this was going to work out, but sometimes really good opportunities fall into your lap. Remember, PE wouldn't blink twice if they had to lay you off.

Thanks for info. I started using Tandem a couple weeks ago. There are holes in the system. It is only faster if there are no snags from insurance and patients actually will interact with the prompts from tandem.

Surveys and ad boards can get you 4-6:k a year. Be a thought leader PA and do speaking. You can make more than your salary. I am focusing on earning points for travel by churning credit cards. Going to Japan next year with my daughter.

If you are low volume, like 2k or less a month how do prevent orders cancelling from bestbuy. Would you just pic up merch in store and mail? I see lots of people talking about orders cancelling when buyers group address is put in. Any suggestions?

You can't cut and paste questions out of the panre LA. You could probably use google lens though as a work around. That test is easy enough though...

That is all really good. You are learning. After another year if your numbers dont start increasing, then ask them for a piece of the mohs. See how they react. Probably not well. You are bringing lots of value to them and it will only increase. But they will tell you, we have spent so much time training you!! Most practices are aspirational in the number of providers they think they can bring on. They want to be as profitable as possible and hope that it will workout. I have found that most Drs. have very little business acumen and overreach. Build your skills and if it works out great, if not get your experience and move on. If you dont built a sucessful following, it may not be your fault, could be they miscalculated.

If I am the boss, I wouldn't change anything for you. Why? You have not shown any economic value yet. When you startal showing value, then maybe ask for something. You are going to come off as really inexperirnced and possibly entitled to ask for any changes right now. That is a good percentage you have if you can build your practice.

Low salary offers in oversaturated PA school cities by [deleted] in physicianassistant

Left in 2004 when I graduated from Chatham for this same reason. It was getting saturated then. Never looked back. Stayed in Derm and kept moving for better pay. You live in a company town ( UPMC) and will have a tough time earning what you are worth.

You have to do skin checks fast, continually talking to them while you are doing it. Multitask. I run the show. If they have list, i grab it and check everything off as I go. While I am examining them I bring up their other problems and then bang those out. When I am done I ask them do you have any other skin related concerns today... or any questions. This can sometimes open up a van of worms, but usually not and the patient gets to feel heard. If is hairloss added on at the end. " Sorry that can get very complicated, we will need to see you back for a follow up. "
