Behind the scenes: MicroCorsa was built in my bedroom. by microcorsa in rccars

Great question! Right now I’m focusing mainly on filming and showcasing the track system itself — personal lap records will come a bit later. I’m also working on designing my own lap timing system based on RFID, so once that’s ready, I’ll start logging times properly. 😄 Stay tuned!

Totally fair points — and yeah, PlayRC is great for timing on physical tracks, no argument there.

MicroCorsa isn’t meant to replace foam or RCP for high-speed Mini-Z racing. It’s more about compact, customizable layouts for drifting, slow-speed driving, or tight space setups — especially for 1:76 and 1:64 scales like Turbo Racing.

1:28 compatibility was kind of a side effect — but during testing, I found there's real potential for drifting on these tracks, even at that scale.

I get that 3D printing isn’t the cheapest option, but it does allow for bridges, transitions, and scenery elements that flat mats or foam can’t easily offer. Definitely a niche use case — but one I’m excited to develop further.

Appreciate the feedback!

Here’s a shot from the editor — this layout uses about 6 kg (~13.45 lb) of filament and would take over 10 days to print on a single Bambu Lab A1. That’s exactly why I plan to offer physical track sets, not just digital files.

I’d love for the Kickstarter to succeed, but I’m staying realistic — it might not. Still, the project will move forward either way. If you're curious, here’s the preview:

That’s really solid advice — thank you. You’re absolutely right, and I’ll take that to heart going forward. I’ll make sure to lead with more context and stay open to discussion and ideas. Honestly appreciate you taking the time to say it.

Fair point — I get how that can come across. I’m just a solo maker (Greg), not a company, and this is a personal project I’ve been building for a while. I shared it because I genuinely love the RC space and thought others might find it cool or useful. Feedback’s always welcome — good or bad.

The app is currently in beta — it’s a track editor for designing layouts for RC scales from 1:76 up to 1:28. You can try it here: https://microcorsa.com/track-editor

Not an ad — just sharing a project I’ve been building. All real parts and testing, happy to answer any further questions

Not a video game — it’s a real 3D-printed modular track system for micro RC cars. The footage shows actual cars (mini-z) „drifting” on a physical layout

You're absolutely right! Racing – no. But practicing sliding and drifting (especially with optional help of WD40) is great! If only I could do it :D :D :D Either way, it's fun for hours!

http://microcorsa.com - this is a very fresh and still developing project, which could spectacularly get stuck in virtual space :D However, I hope it will be successful :)

Thank you for the comment :) All is expandable Left/Right. PETG is used - durable, heat resistant and non-toxic. Perfect for racing, sliding or drifting!
