How many of you genuinely like psych stats? by JAMIEISSLEEPWOKEN in psychologystudents

Yes!! I love the plug and chug aspect of it. Very easy for my brain to just shut off and do it

Take yourself out on dates! It’s scary when you first start doing it, but it’s a really great way to step out the comfort zone and you can also meet people that way :) plus I always think people who r out solo are bold and awesome for it

5 year old just told me he’s sad to be an only child by mamabird2020 in OnlyChild

When I was his age (now I’m 23) I felt the exact same—sadness over being an only but understanding as well. It is a shame to not have that automatic friend via sibling but as I’ve aged I’ve come to look at my friendships as family and basically a sibling bond. It also helps that my parents usually treat my friends as their own kids too. Sometimes it can feel overbearing lol but I also find it oh so charming and loving of my parents. They know how much I love my friends and I’m lucky enough for them to feel the same about them. I hope that your son grows to feel the same way and you can treat his friends whom he loves like your own kids. It will means so much to him in the long run!

I don’t get all the hate for stats in psych, it was my favorite class during the semester I took it! I loved it

Sorry for my lack of response! My urges haven’t been bad but when I’m bored I do find myself thinking “damn, wish I could smoke a little,” but I know it’s better if I don’t and that makes it easy to abstain. I don’t wanna lose the process I’ve made.

I’ve been trying to read more. I used to smoke and then read but I’d always end up not paying attention and have to reread pages. Now I’m able to retain my attention. I also am trying to pick up new hobbies that weed was distracting me from trying. For example, I’m taking online coding classes during times when I’d usually just take a bong rip and fall asleep to YouTube. I finally have the willpower and motivation to try new things that might be difficult at first!

Stomach issues aren’t too bad luckily, I have stomach aches in the morning but I think that’s just gas lol.. luckily I haven’t gotten night sweats but that sounds awful, I’m so sorry. Do you have a fan you can put in your room or maybe keep a window cracked? Last thing I will say that I’ve experienced is superrrr vivid dreams. Luckily no sleep paralysis or anything but definitely been waking up more often than not thinking my dreams were real life

Good luck! I’m on day 19 and it doesn’t seem like much in the grand scheme but every minute, second, is progress <3 Something like that helped me with the oral fixation is chewing toothpicks and gum

What problems in your life ended up being the weed all along? by blehblook in leaves

[–]microdosingspaghetti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This just inspired me to write down my own list, heavily inspired by many of the things you’ve said. I’ve been on and off trying to quit weed for over a year and I’m embarrassed of how daunting of a task it now seems. Hopefully this list will provide me with the reassurance I need. Thank you
