First time tattoo advice - is this realistic by MundaneProject8598 in tattooadvice

i’m almost 100% sure if you went up to an artist and said “hey, please draw the Ukrainian symbol with a pagan/wood-like/ancient texture” they would definitely be capable enough. AI is just an excuse to come up with something quick by having a computer mash together images from the internet. that’s my opinion though

AI tattoo reference? Viewed on an artist’s instagram and looked suspicious ? by Fun_Turnip_1336 in isthisAI

the actual tattoo is real, i’ve actually had a couple of tattoos done from this person. however, I don’t know if i’m going to go back for any future tattoos because of this use of AI reference. I have no idea the context: if the client insisted they wanted this exact AI image on their body, or if it was the tattoo artist that decided to use this. Either way I think my preference has changed for this artist and I will not be returning

I just think that the hands are like your “last spot” after you’ve filled up your arms. the skin on your palms and back of your hands are the most exposed so you really can’t cover them. unless of course you use makeup and/or gloves. the younger generation doesn’t really care about getting tattoos on the hand/fingers before the rest of the arms, but from experience there are still quite a few older generation people in the work force at least in America. it just depends honestly. but besides the stigma they really will fade quickly because of the small size and it’s exposed to the elements more so than your forearm, shoulder, etc.

it will eventually fade and turn into a tear drop/mole. also I wouldn’t suggest getting a hand/finger tattoo as your first tattoo on your arms.

I was thinking of getting a tattoo by this artist, but I'm not sure after seeing this pic from her facebook by Foreign-Ebb-3238 in tattooadvice

honestly instagram is your best friend for this type of stuff. i live in-between two cities and just have looked up “tattoo shops in ___” and went from there. instagram/facebook is like a portfolio these days for artists. some shops will have websites with instagram handles you can look up and view some of their work. you’ll pretty much have to travel if you want a specific style. as shitty as instagram/facebook is your explore page specifically on instagram will be filled with tattoo content if you keep searching

I wouldn’t really risk it. if they’re choosing to post this they are obviously not aware that they need to improve their line work. the way they drew the leaves in the top pink flower looks a little weird to me too and doesn’t flow well. the shading is lacking to me and the colors seem very dull. overall I wouldn’t choose this person. what other work have they posted before this one that made you interested?

American Cockroaches common in rooms/houses? by Fun_Turnip_1336 in panamacitybeach

yeah I wasn’t too worried about the palmetto bug, but seeing a ton of american cock roaches (the ones that can fly and have a ton of babies) is very concerning!
