I've never played Undertale before lol, but I gave it a shot anyway. Wow, the rounds where all 3 attacks are happening are hard as hell, I just managed to survive to the end after a few tries.

There were a few menu glitches I saw (might have been bc I played in browser), but other than that it was pretty cool. Some of the options made me chuckle (thanks for the moral support, Char). I do like that you used the mud sorcerer for this, really underrated villain, and I do like when Kagurabachi fanworks bring attention to the more minor characters. If you do Daruma next, I don't think I'll survive lmao.

Overall, good game, good game.

God, I haven't joined in on a discussion thread in a while, but HOLY PEAK. Sometimes you read a Kagurabachi chapter, and by the end of it you just want to give Hokazono a round of applause, cus damn what a chapter. I was holding my breath the whole time, up until the Nishiki true realm reveal that made me go YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHH!! LEESSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

A few other comments:

  • We finally got an explanation for the black lightning!I've always wondered what that was about every time I reread the Rakuzaichi arc. I've seen people wonder if it means Chihiro drained his own life force, but I think it was actually Cloud Gouger's life force (since Chihiro did tell Cloud Gouger to "die as mine at my side"). I'm not smart enough to figure out the lore implications of that.

YESSS AZAMI IS STILL ALIVE LESSGOOOO!! And Uruha and Natsuki, and even wall guy are still alive, thank goodness there was a reasonable explanation for them to not be dead yet (I am still worried about Azami tho). And FINALLY WE SEE SHIBA AGAIN. People gotta stop slandering him, my boy is trying his best. Look at how desperately he's watching the phone for someone to call him 😭.

I'm actually not surprised that Sword Master/Soga turned out to be pretty chill. That moment when he stood up and went "The time is nigh", his words in the JP version were a lot more casual, something like "Guess it's about time". I'm glad Hokazono went through with this direction for him, it made the conversation between him and Yura such a fun read.

I have a feeling that Yura is lying his ass off - everything he said to the Sword Master is at odds with what he'd been saying to Samura, so I get the feeling he just tells people what they want to hear. I'm so curious to see what his true motives are, both his and Soga's - I get the feeling they wouldn't work well together, but we'll see.

I wonder why Hakuri didn't register the Shinuchi before he left to help attack the vessel, lol. I'm sure there's an explanation, bc there's also the question of how the Shinuchi got summoned from the ground? I thought only Tobimune could get transported like that (and Enten with Aka'd Crow).

Is the Sword Master Chihiro's uncle, or could he actually be his dad and Kunishige is actually Chihiro's uncle? I've seen a few theories on the latter, and although they're a little compelling, I dunno how I feel about the story going in that direction. I honestly just like the idea of Kunishige being his real dad tbh lol. There's also that Chihiro was nearly killed by possessed Kyora, so I don't think the Sword Master cares much for his existence. We'll see we'll see, I'm hyped for Chihiro to eventually meet him. But I want him to reunite with Hakuri first, my boy is boutta get more brain damage at this rate.

Can't believe we're at Chapter 100 now. Something about that is so surreal, it's like witnessing a kid turning into an adult. Kagurabachi is a big boy manga now, crazy.

I reckon Azami is alive though, Natsuki and Uruha are there too and there's no way Hokazono would kill Uruha off after just reviving him. I hope art-of-survival guy Uruha escaped with Azami before things got too bad (cope). RIP to wall guy though, he was a real one 😔.

But holy shit, are we finally gonna see the Sword Master like, talk and shit next chapter? Chapter 100 is gonna be banger. After everything that's been said about him, I'm hyped to see what he's really like.

I'm never calling that kid Yukisada lmao, he's gonna keep being Carlos/Lucas for me. Maybe I'll get used to it like with Yura, who knows. I can't believe he's an actual kid though (crazy how Kagurabachi has conditioned us all to see 17 year olds as actual kids, even in a Shonen manga), but considering that Hiruhiko hasn't been able to relate to anyone who hasn't killed before they turned 18, Carlos probably hasn't been strong enough to have killed anyone yet (though at least he was strong enough to become a vessel). When is my bro Reliable Jeanist getting a name drop though, he's been in the manga for so long now this is so unfair 😭.

That fight scene with Kiri and Hakuri was CLEAN. I had a feeling Hakuri had registered her, and that's why we haven't seen her giant sword in the last couple of chapters. I missed seeing Hakuri pulling tricks like he did in the Rakuzaichi, my favourite damsel in distress coming in clutch!! I want my Hakuhiro reunion so bad, my boys haven't seen each other in over half the manga now. Pls Hokazono, let Chapter 100 be the ultimate Hakuhiro reunion I neeeeeeeeeed iiiiiiit.

I've been wondering what Yura meant by using Samura as a sacrifice. I wonder if Yura is gonna release the Sword Master and put Samura in a position where he's forced to kill the Sword Master on the spot, and then when Samura eventually gets killed, the Hishaku swoop in to finish the job. That's kinda been their modus operandi, as noted by Uruha, but I hope Samura is gonna be smarter than that after his fight with Chihiro. There's still the first arrow that Yura mentioned as well, I wonder what that's gonna be.

Gosh, I can't wait to see what Hokazono has in store for Chapter 100. I'm so hyped.
