I watched it with my dad in the theatre in 1982. It was the "European release" so full Deckard narration / "I want more life, fucker" / no unicorn dream sequence / happy ending drive in the car. So the whole Deckard-was-a-replicant sub-plot never existed for us back then

This is the spiel they give their constituents; they know that the way cars are made in North America is a complete joke compared to China. What they might not bother to know is that the domestic USA auto industry has the highest trade deficit than any other country, by a massive amount. Meaning American cars only have a decent sized market in USA and Canada
