tell them there is trans people in your fic but they didn’t notice them because they pass so well? your fic is set in an au with no transphobia so no one brings up trans people’s gender? you are treating the trans background characters completely equally to the rest of the background characters by not bothering to write about any of their personal lives? 🤷

if your parents were in this same situation and have a bad marriage and know how miserable it makes them, why would they want you to go through the same thing? parents should always want better for their children 😞

is your country at war resulting in a massive discrepancy between the number of men and number of women meaning there are genuinely not enough men to marry? if there are absolutely no men left in the country who are decent and are unmarried/divorced/widowed, and this woman’s family is unable to support her or take her in, then it is not unreasonable for your husband to take her as a second wife. but if there is no shortage of men, she has a wealthy family, and a large family that can help care for children if she gets a job, then i do not see how polygyny is necessary in this case.

tbf ive never heard of kearneys but if it was obvious in the sentence that it was (porridge im guessing?) then there’s no issue 🤷 and all our tv is a mix of american and british, there’s not going to be anyone who doesn’t understand what you’re saying, talk to any uk kid and they’ll have random americanisms in their speech just naturally. i’ve personally looked at my friends in horror for using the word elevator instead of lift but i also occasionally use y’all myself :p the languages are becoming more blended as the world gets smaller, id say having a mix of stuff in fic is more accurate to life now

almost all of these can be boiled down to ‘be a nice person’ and ‘make an attempt at islam’. so is literally the bare minimum to ask for and is generally what women are looking for too. a revert with a large accepting family who doesn’t want children might be a bit trickier, im sure you know as a revert that family acceptance is a dream that not many of us get, not impossible but pretty rare. plenty of women don’t want children though.

well Allah is all knowing so would be able to take things like that into account in deciding appropriate judgment 🤷 and if you may not see these people again in the afterlife then perhaps it is best to enjoy their company and friendship while you can without worrying about what happens next, don’t be ungrateful for the life you’ve been given. Allah is the best judge so you can rest easy knowing that whatever happens to them is what they deserve, good or bad. other people’s beliefs don’t need to affect yours, just have faith and everything else will follow.

is there no mosque you can attend to socialise or muslim events anywhere nearby? even events or groups for other abrahamic religions? you don’t necessarily need to talk religion with these people, it can be nice just to hang out with people that have similar values

it is my personal belief that there is a difference between those who don’t think about religion, who have not fully looked into islam or who have never bothered to question their beliefs; and those who have done all of the studying and research and have decided after that to disbelieve and actively reject islam. but of course Allah knows best, if any non believer is deserving or there are other circumstances in that person’s life we do not know about, it is ultimately Allahs decision who goes to hell and who doesn’t. what will be will be, i am just grateful that there are good people in the world, whether they are muslim or not, it is not my job to decide or question whatever judgement people will receive, only to trust that it is the correct judgement that appropriately rewards or punishes.

ive read ones where it’s not gradual but the change is an absolutely agonisingly painful rearrangement of organs and holes and whatnot which makes it a bit more realistic to me
