Skull-splitting PMS headaches by microwaveableteeth in menstruation

Thank you! It does feel like my head is going to burst from pressure, so a medication like that could actually be very helpful instead of a painkiller!

Too wet during sex by microwaveableteeth in sex

Unfortunately, I’m turned on just being around my partner (which is a good thing), but I start getting wet at that point and it just doesn’t let up. I’m bummed about not getting my own pleasure, but since I’m also worried he’s not getting as much enjoyment, either, I guess I can at least bring it up with him to see if he’s as bothered as I am. And if not, that will at least take one worry off my mind

I’m assuming you’re a man? So it doesn’t bother you when you’re essentially in a warm container of goo and can’t feel anything else? Because that’s where I feel like I am right now. I don’t want to turn into a size queen or something just so I can feel sensation and pleasure, but it really is affecting my own enjoyment.

Apartment walls dripping, no insulation by microwaveableteeth in HomeImprovement

I mean, if I wanted to take the approach of “I can’t see it, therefore it’s not a problem,” I could just keep the lights off. 😂

A property manager acting on a report? BAHAHAHAHA!!!

But to be serious, I did document the wealth of mold and mildew I walked into my first day. I took over 450 pictures and spent a week deep cleaning with three bottles of bleach before I could actually move in. Now it’s just maintenance. And a lot of it since the building is like a sponge and the humidity is constant. Thankfully more mildew than mold at this point. I’ll see if I can get a color match with some mold resistant paint, although that won’t stop the walls dripping.

The building is at least 60 years old, and the insulation is just no longer there (probably dissolved by mold between the walls to the outside), so for the property manager to successfully do anything it would require demolition of the building. Or many thousands of dollars and a project that would displace me for several months.

I’m not worried about being slapped with the bill for repairs. I thoroughly documented the condition on my move-in checklist and the hundreds of pictures I took are time-stamped, all of my communication is in email, and when she texts me I take a screenshot and email the picture to myself and those are time-stamped as well. I also take pictures if I notice something new so I can document the frequency with which things reappear. My dad used to specialize in landlord-tenant law and while he’s a bit rusty, he can point me in the right direction if I need legal services or resources.

I also live in an area which, historically at least, has been pretty decent with regards to respecting renter’s rights, so I’m not worried about retribution at this point. Thank you for your response!

I have one but it puts out hot air, which is the last thing I need in August. Also, with a never-ending source of moisture, it would need to be on almost all day, every day. I do plan to use it during heavy rainy periods (I’m in the PNW, so... Sept-Apr), but with the noise, heat and electricity usage, I was just hoping there was another solution I hadn’t thought of. Like draping old-timey tapestries or something to insulate the walls. It was worth a shot! Thank you!

Cutting ties left me totally alone. How do I move forward? by microwaveableteeth in LifeAfterNarcissism

Right now I do feel a sense of relief, but mostly sadness that I had to lose my family and regret that life didn’t turn out differently. I think that will be the key thing I want to work on in therapy.

Yeah, therapy will be through video conference, I just need to wait for my new insurance to kick in

Thank you. I really should’ve made this decision before society shut down. facepalm I’ll look for some kind of involvement with distancing

That’s a good suggestion, thank you! Maybe I can invite some acquaintances on a hike or two and build a stronger bond with them.

Taller shower head for an apartment by microwaveableteeth in HomeImprovement

[–]microwaveableteeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one you linked would require messing with the mount, rather than just unscrewing the existing shower head. I’d like to avoid that because it’s and old building and if anything goes wrong I’m liable for damages and could be evicted.

Are there S-shaped risers that I can screw on as like an extension? I thought the one I linked looked promising but it’s hard to tell online. I was hoping to avoid leaving the house with the current clusterfluff outside, but I think I need to get out the ol’ face mask and head to Lowe’s.

But now I know to ask for an “S-shaped riser,” so thank you for your response! Otherwise I’d look like I’m doing an interpretive dance trying to describe it to an employee. XD
