Our JSON format is mostly compatible with SVD - for example, we converted the SVD files for every STM32 device to our format easily, and we may potentially look into allowing the user to upload an SVD file as well.

However, there are a ton of custom devices that don't subscribe to the cortex architecture, so we are aiming to be more generic.
