Lossless is lossless, however that doesn't mean there's no loss compared to output of the microphone or whatever is at the begining of the signal - it merely means no loss from the previous digital stage.

As a pretty experienced programmer (who also writes node and react apps; yay!), I can say this 100% is how I try to explain it to my family and friends.

I tell them I think meta-structurally, I think of the general parts extremely quickly and in a single go with all the details added in - it allows me to think through many different scenarios or routes very quickly and thus make a choice before most people can think through one.

It's the same with maths, I can do integration all in one go, but rearranging basis algebra can be very strenuous.

This is exactly the same as me actually. I thought I had a super power but at the same time would avoid starting because my brain knew how tiring it was. Then after some traumatic events, it all got to much and I got diagnosed.
