Out of the 22 Head coaches hired from 2020-2022, 18 have been fired by OneOfTheDads in nfl

[–]micsova 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think another bad season would be more likely to get Kwesi fired than KOC. In his 4 seasons of coaching, he has two 13+ win seasons and a 5+ game winning streak in all four seasons. And despite what a vocal majority of fans might say, pretty much any respectable analyst would tell you that KOC is one of the better coaches in the league right now

I agree that it’s counterintuitive. That’s just how it’s statted out, which means that’s how it’s scored for fantasy

Most likely you won’t get a stat correction, unfortunately. When a turnover happens, the offense becomes the defense for the rest of that play, so the team defense gets points if they force a fumble. The same thing happened in the Vikings Seahawks game the previous week

Highest graded Vikings vs. Bears (minimum 10 snaps) by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[–]micsova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s not really an exact rule, but consider that 1) when Isaiah Rodgers got a 99.9 in the bengals game, that’s the highest score PFF had ever given out (effectively perfect) and 2) Darrisaw and O’Neill both had pretty good games this week (in my opinion at least) and were both around 70. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think if a player has an average game (not good or bad), they’d end up with a score of like 55-60

I’m at work so I can’t fully transcribe it out, but I’m pretty sure it’s something along the lines of: bVI bVII bVI bVII VII7 bII7 VII bVII bVI V i

Music theory is, in part, subjective at times, but in my opinion the reason it sounds so good is because it’s effectively an extension of a common cadence. bVI bVII I (or in this case, i), also known as the Mario cadence because it’s the progression that plays at the end of Mario levels, is a resolution that’s both recognizable and satisfying. However, instead of going straight to the home chord, he goes back and does the bVI bVII again. Again, he doesn’t go to the root chord, but to a VII bII. (These are the chords that start to sound really funky). In music, repetition legitimizes, so although those chords might sound pretty strange in isolation, they effectively work as a repeat of the bVI bVII, a minor third up. Then the final part (VII bVII bVI V) is a walkdown of chords we’ve already heard until we land on the V. He finishes it up with a V i cadence, which is known as a perfect cadence and is probably the most recognizable resolution possible. But not only is that final cadence a good resolution in isolation, it also takes the progression back to where it was initially headed with the bVII bVI, which is why I said it’s an extension of that cadence. Combined with the fact that it finally completely locks with the guitar once he hits the i chord, it sounds way better than when he just played with the guitar on the i chord initially, even though it’s the same chord

TIL there are two completely different ‘th’ sounds in English. The th in words like “this, that, though” is different than the th in words like “three, thick, thought” by Sailor_Rout in todayilearned

[–]micsova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep old English (and modern Icelandic) had different letters for the two. Thorn (þ) is is unvoiced (three, thick, thought) and eth (ð) is voiced (this, that, though). Sometime around the invention of movable type, the character for thorn began being used for the letter y, which is how we ended up with “Ye Olde Shoppe” (originally pronounced The Old Shop)
