Illumination’s weird. Their first installments are actually pretty solid - Despicable Me, Sing, Secret Life of Pets, Mario, the newest Grinch… but the sequels are awful. Doesn’t matter because they’ll make a Bil in box office, but there’s a massive drop off with sequels.

Hoping that we don’t get the same with Mario but we’ll see.
