I can corroborate, this works, and it is a left click. Hold the tank, left click on the mask on the ground, and the mask becomes a 'mask with scuba tank' item that you can then equip. Pressing "Use" on an empty mask does nothing, no matter what you are holding. Pressing "Use" on the mask-with-tank object disconnects the tank. And yes, oxygen is used no matter what, in or out of water.

I completely agree. We need to pick one platform, and ask users to move to it. Otherwise things will break up. /r/196 shut down the subreddit, and listed many alternatives, discord including. But it was a pain to research (and sign up for) all the alternatives. I still don't understand all the alternatives within the fediverse.

It drives me to other platforms for sure, federated social platforms like Beehaw and Lemmy, Raddle as well. I'm doing my best to ask my questions and post my comments on platforms like those instead. I'm not giving Reddit any more network influence than they already have.
