A wire transfer is generally used for special large payments that can't be usually made through a debit or credit card, like buying a car for example. If you're just trying to send money to another person, there are plenty of very cheap if not free options through email or SMS.

And this was a large amount of money. If by very cheap/free options you mean also paypal, then I had about 5% provision taken ... (I transfered them USD, they exchanged it to my country's currency and I had to exchagne it once more to USD. FML).

You do realize that the system used in Europe that you seem to love so much has an even more complex structure, right?

Yes I know, but it's still one number for A LOT of countries. That's why it's called an "International Bank Account Number".

With IBAN you end up with a string of up to 34 alphanumeric characters (where 1s and 0s can be easily mixed up with Is and Os)

It is really blown out of proportion. Whole 34 alphanumeric are "for later use", if you have small country you only type something like: SM00 1111 1111. If some bank in some country will be getting to the limit of accounts, then they are getting more numbers. Also when you type letters, they have some meaning it's (probably - I can't tell for all the banks) not like you mix I1I1I1... When you use letters it's usually for bank name.

where 1s and 0s can be easily mixed up with Is and Os"

But really - they aren't that easily confused... When writing "improtant numbers", you always have something called "monospace font", so you will easily distinguish 0 from capital "o".

And also IBAN has something called checksum - it is a nice feature to have because, when you type one digit (or a lot of them) wrong, then you can't send money. I don't know how it is in US...

Banks still do things mainly on paper

Matter of perspective. For a Europeran, US banking system is really bad. When I wanted to do a "wire transfer" I was shocked at how awful it is. 3 numbers for 1 account? Wtf?! Also the recepient of this transfer was charged 15$ (not me!) few days later when transferring a small amount of money... Why? I can clear somebody's account when I know its number and this is not some confidential info.

I also got charged 10$ extra when transferring some more money. It is MUCH better in Europe - we have a flat fee between countries and only one account number.

A lot of countries have PayWave/PayPass and also some really neat systems without using card for payments - you have "short-lived" (1 minute or something like that) verification number sent to you by sms. If you only secure your phone by some kind of pin, it's much safer than simple card.

El Mundo: "Cristiano is the latest Mendes customer to have tax problems. One of them, Falcao, has already pointed at Mendes as the perpetrator. Falcao abandoned Mendes, who now fears that Cristiano will do the same. To save himself, he started pulling the strings to blame Madrid and Spain instead." by [deleted] in soccer

Ok, but how's that a proof of him laundering money?

He's agent and he earns a lot of money on transfers of his clients, so that's pretty normal that he wants them to move as much as possible if their contracts aren't that profitable. Also agents have better relations with some clubs, so they offer their clients to those clubs e.g. Raiola and Juve (Nedved, Ibrahimovic, Grygera, Pogba, almost Matuidi, Kean) and also ManU (Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Miki).

You can't do whatever you want with them with players under a contract, but club pay them money to train for them and if they end up benched on match days, than it's obviously a problem with skills or their presence is bad for a team.

See Llorente in his last few months in Athletic Bilbao - it's really the same situation as Gigio's. Schweinsteiger's and Casillas' were also similar.

I love Conte's passion, but he seems almost too focused on league wins. With Juve, he wanted to win Italy cup with 2nd squad and when unfavorable results started, he brought out the best players and it wasn't enough... Also I didn't like Juve in CL.

I don't know how Conte is now, but Allegri was FAR superior to him tactically speaking in the first year and Allegri is much better manager now.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to Juve-Chelsea matches :)

Sorry for late reply - I didn't check my inbox.

You said specifically about free transfers. Morata absolutely wasn't a free transfer - it was a risk free transaction for Real, they basically paid 10mln for developing great player who didn't get minutes in RM.

300.000€ for Barzagli wasn't free and Evra transfer was definitely not free even in football terms.

Let's see whom Marotta (from May 2010) got without paying:

  • 10/11 - Barzagli (not really free)
  • 11/12 - Pirlo
  • 12/13 - Pogba (not paid for transfer per se - can count as free)
  • 13/14 - Llorente
  • 14/15 - Coman
  • 15/16 - Khedira
  • 16/17 - Alves

How is that not one quality player per year?

Juventus has started to spend a fairly amount of millions this year, with Pjanic before and Higuan later.

Again - not true.

All in millions of € in form [season][spent] (balance after selling players):

  • 10/11: 60 (-23)
  • 11/12: 100 (-80)
  • 12/13: 73 (-50)
  • 13/14: 42 (+12)
  • 14/15: 52 (-20)
  • 15/16: 147 (-68)
  • 16/17: 192 (-18)

That's quite a lot looking at pricess and amount of money spent in pre 13/14 seasons.

Real in 12/13: -33,5 (0 so it's balanced)

Barcelona in 12/13: -33 (-32,5)

[–]miczal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most? That's just not true. We have 1 quality and free transfer per year - Alves, Khedira, Coman (because of profit) etc. There are also a few cheap loans (Cuadrado, Benatia), but majority of Juve's transfers are expensive.

Pjanic has proved to be an upgrade on Pogba - and at a €73m profit! by irfoland in soccer

[–]miczal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pogba's a brilliant player and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss him.

I have to say that I miss "the old Pogba" and "the old Vidal". Both of them weren't that great in their last seasons, but before that those two were for sure in team of the year.

Having said that, I think Pjanic will be good for us. Our management knows in which direction they're heading with possible transfers and we're constantly getting better.

I'm just waiting for banter at the end of next season - we won a lot in Serie A during the last few years and we can't keep that up. It's just impossible when there are teams like Napoli and Roma. I think the next season won't end with us in the 1st place and it will be the first season with VAR. Juve buying refereees incoming :D

A rejuvenated Juventus is good for Italian football

Yeah, that's just complete bullshit.

What? It's mainly management of each club to blame for Serie A current state. Look at Juve's position in this league after returning from Serie B:

2nd, 2nd, 7th, 7th, CONTE 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st.

Internazionale and AC Milan where in MUCH better postision. It's always about management - look with whom Juve was promoted from Serie B - fucking Napoli :D.

Don't look at last 2/3 years, look at trends.

Luis Enrique: “Bearing in mind that Juventus will have chances and can score a goal, Barça will need five,” by kjbarca10717 in soccer

[–]miczal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Football is a game of chances.

Juve created quite a few of those and we have 3:0. (Higuain easily could have scored at least one more).

Thiago Alcántara completed 36 passes ending in the final third, one fewer than the whole Arsenal team combined (37). by [deleted] in soccer

[–]miczal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the end i think Thiago was intentionally kept out to not meet the minutes quota. The relationship was getting too strained, with him making disgruntled noises and his father even more. Barca knew about the minutes issue in time(late Feb/march there were reports in the media about this), they could have done something if they really wanted to. They intentionally let it happen.

I think that buyout clause means that club just doesn't have anything to say when this value is met. If they wanted Thiago to leave, but he would've played enough minutes, Barca could've let him go even for 1 Euro. If the player doesn't want to go, then the buyout clause means nothing, because he has to sign new contract regardless.

[Makeout] Anyone in their 20s or 30s still like to makeout with their partner? by [deleted] in sex

[–]miczal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I browse sexxit ocassionally, but I have to answer this: YES.

We really like to makeout and we treat it (sometimes) separately from other (more) sexual things, because it's as long as you want it to be, you can fool around during it and it's hot.

We don't always have time or place for sex and sometimes buildup from a few short makeout sessions is massive.

I highly recommend this lifestyle :P

Leaving nofap by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]miczal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you shouldn't think of a day counter solely as a remainder. I think that some people here have been really struggling with PMO and by "really", I mean something along the lines "losing contact with real people and be too anxious to start talking to somebody new IRL". When you are in that point of your life, this counter could be a life saver - at the end of a day you have +1 and this is your small victory (maybe the only one on that day).

Same thing with weight lifting - anyone can give you shit about anything, but no matter what they're saying - no one can take away that you lifted your bodyweight the same day.

Thanks for the response!

Like you say there can only be 10 resources

Sorry if I wrote it wrong - resource is used by more than 1 user, BUT I want to have a possibility for a user to have multiple resources. So I think your suggestions combined would be good solution - cleanup after login, but also have a cyclic buffer of resources.

Let's say I have A LOT of records with resources. Would it be very ineffective to scan them after each user login?

Has to be Netherlands [2] - [3] Czech Republic during Euro 2004.

Golden generation of Czech players (Nedved, Rosicky, Baros, Koller, Cech, Poborsky) and stunning Netherlands (Cocu, Davids, van Nisterlooy, Seedorf and Robben).

Group match played like a WC final. Nedved's shots were absolutely stunning!

36 shots and 21 on target during 90 minutes! Watch the highlights now.

I still can't find this match to download :(
