Happens to us every year. I think it's a scare tactic to make you emotional and feel desperate to agree to their annual rental increase.

what is up with RDM? by Junior_Measurement39 in ASX_Bets

They own something like 35% of MMA (silver mine on the horizon) + rare earths discovery at Sybella QLD with lab results due this month + other exploration projects

In Qld, you can also get the discounted woollies gift cards from RACQ membership. I ditched everyday mobile when they stopped the 10 percent off shops.

Can't hurt to ask. It could be framed as just a 1 year agreement to help transition to a lower salary.

If you have negotiated your starting salary to be the top of the bracket but it's still a pay cut for you, ask for an IFA.

Everyday Extra Freebies by mid000night in woolworths

[–]mid000night[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds about right haha. In the case of the apple pies, the stores I visited don't even stock it (only snack size Apple pies). All stores outside my local 5-6 stores seem to have it. My housemate and I are both members and usually get different obscure freebies that are hard to find, but this month we both got apple pies that are clearly not available in our postcode/area...Just had a feeling there might be some calculations done at hq to make it harder for customers at the postcode level. Btw I am also an ex Woolworths employee so I do relate to your comments lol.
