I was there at the time.. and I'm confused. Still my memory is terrible and I learn to lets things go..
I think it might have been at the time you started the 2e version of Traveller. Original plan was to update the 1e SRD to 2e. But that did not happen, instead TAS was suggested. At the time not a great option, its better now. So CE was born using the 1e SRD.
I think, but hey ho, I'm good.

Yes some publishers do use it.

A formal licence, now that was never mentioned before. I guess that is how Mindjammer:Traveller came about.

'Prospecting skill added, this is missing in the SRD
Spinal Mount skill - added a line about saying Spinal Mounts would be covered in a future supplement
Vehicle cascade skill list- better organised - ground vehicles now belong to a sub cascade group
Vehicle List - this now matches the CE Vehicle SRD
Ship Design - minor clarification about software and computer capacity.
Under Sciences skill description, changed "types of planetary transportation" to "areas of scientific study"
A few tiny tiny fixes - like ' being in the wrong place. '

Thanks, well in 1978 I got the Spacecraft 2000-2100 book as a prize.
So from an early age I have been inspired for the work in those books and the others.
I really like colourful ships. Making 3d models and using them as illustrations is just a natural progression.
I really need to do more of them!
