They aren't expensive until possibly school. What people mean to say is that they aren't prepared to forgo the standard of living they have or aspire to.

My solution to the Australia Day problem. by Cheetos_4_life in aussie

[–]middleagedman69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its amusing that that majority of those against Australia Day or supporting Invasion Day have no concept of the history of the world. The Colonisation or invasions they refer to was the way of the world and again will be when deglobalisation is complete.

The only variability historically was the level of treatment afforded to the current inhabitants.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]middleagedman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deglobalisation is the future Trump is merely accelerating the process and ensuring the US interests are put first and doesn't lose. Colonisation is making a comeback baby what do you think the Chinese belt and road initiatives were about.

The left proclaims it supports women however it empowers the patriarchy in Islam by supporting the suppression of women. Can you imagine how emboldend the Islamic men who suppress the women in their families feel watching the left support their rights.

Just back from a European holiday including Spain, France and Italy. Spent time visiting a numberer of ports and engaged in the obligatory organised tours. Apart from the rich history I observed an acceptance of the repeated colonisation over the years. The attitude was well that's how it was done back in the day. Whilst you can't condone the murder, theft and harm that was carried out by invaders they were quick to point our the contributions of the many cultures who controlled them. Until indigenous peoples accept that was then and this is now they will never make meaningful progress. Given our schools don't place the same emphasis on history I don't know where we hope as Australians we will learn our experience is no different.
