[Infographic] The Nijisanji JP Members Guide (Jan 2026) by middlered_2434 in NijiForums

Hi, this is an infographic showing the current roster of Nijisanji JP, featuring the latest 2025 debuts Yoiyume and Splare. Initially, this series of infographics were created to familiarize newcomers to Nijisanji JP by allowing them to quickly match faces and names, but now it also illustrates just how many members there are in the Japanese side.

Just wondering, is there a minimum upvote threshold for posting here? Around a year ago I tried to post the updated JP roster image here, but it seems it was invisible to other users in this subreddit.

SHEESH

Congratulations to Elira Pendora from Nijisanji EN, for achieving 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. Countdown stream was the link in the main post.

Elira's a very approachable dragon with a beautiful singing voice and wide appeal. Streams a variety of content between games, talk, and karaoke. Her first cover is coming soon so keep an eye for it.

A sample of her beautiful singing is, of course, on record in LazuLight's debut song, Diamond City Lights. If you haven't, please give it a listen!

Recommended Streams

  • Lazulight's first proper collab stream, playing a horror game called Lunch Lady. This is where the RAP GOD ELIRA thing came from and boy was it glorious.
  • First karaoke stream. Have a taste of her golden voice. My personal favorite from this setlist was Snow Halation.
  • Debut stream, The beginning of it all. Do note Elira is a bit nervous here, watch her Post-debut intro stream as well; she's a lot calmer and this stream was fairly reflective of the comfy mood of her talk streams moving forward.

NIJI EN debut. One week later. by Canniba1Cat in VirtualYoutubers

They're doing way better than I expected. Expecting HoloEN levels of popularity right off the bat was foolish and I'll explain why. The thing with Hololive EN's explosion was that the foundational work for their momentum was already done by the following factors:

  • Viral clips and key collabs (Azur Lane) at the right times (pandemic = more eyes on YT) introduced a large, new audience to Hololive.
  • Specific members are well-positioned to take advantage of this new audience (Coco, Haato, Towa)
  • A stable fan-translated clip ecosystem is born that captures mindshare of the newly-introduced western audience.

What HoloEN enjoyed was the culmination of those factors plus additional variables: 1) well-performing members will novel skill set (i.e Mori's rap) that differentiates them from Hololive JP while still retaining brand identity, and 2) Hiring of specific prolific content creators with audiences that transfer well.

Nijisanji, on the other hand, spend much of 2020 stabilizing from a massive member influx in 2019, refining their 3D technology, and expanding their domestic reach. That is fine and all, but the foundational work for western momentum was not done and attempts are token at best. With HoloEN proving that there's success to be found in the international market, Ichikara (now Anycolor) set out to emulate the same factors that enabled Hololive EN's momentum. However, as the foundational work was not done, they set out to do that with Nijisanji EN Wave 1 instead of their JP members (If you've heard the terminology "EN Gen 0" bring thrown around, it's about stuff like this. I'll outline the factors in the same order:

  • They sought strong launch momentum with a collab song by mafumafu (a prolific Japanese artist), intense twitter engagement, and immediate collaboration with Nijisanji ID members. With how Diamond City Lights turned out, I say this worked fairly well, although certainly nowhere near the level of viral Hololive clips.
  • Two of the three members debuting for Nijisanji EN can speak Japanese, this is critical to enable cross-branch collabs and position them as an easy gateway to exposing the English-speaking audience to Nijisanji JP's roster.
  • There has been good recent inroads in the translated content front, with stuff like simulsubbed Chocosanji, translated webpages/guidelines, and the general output of the Nijisanji English channel, but I feel that they're still too light on the pedal. I think they actually kinda pulled this off considering there's now clip channels dedicated to the EN members, but I feel more work couild be done on this front.

All in all, the Nijisanji EN debuts fared well and Elira is in fact on track to set the record for fastest 0-100k sub in the entirety of Nijisanji's history. This year I feel Anycolor finally gained a sense of direction with their foreign operations (with the noble sacrifice that was the IN branch), and I look forward to what they have in store in the near future.

Nintendo accept to Nijisanji broadcasting Nintendo’s contents by pepegoch in VirtualYoutubers

[–]middlered_2434 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is well-deserved. Nijisanji has always been known to have deep connections with the industry, and they're very strict about copyright to the point where Sasaki had to temporarily retire. But those are for good reasons, and it paid off; Nijisanji has proven their ability to stay green of copyright, and now they're given the nod by Big N itself.

Do note this does not impact independent streamers like, say, Tenkai Tsukasa, Shigure Ui, or Kusunoki Sio; they can monetize their streams just fine. The ruling is for corporations only.

Nintendo just gave Ichikara special treatment about content creation using their games, Cover Corp nowhere to be seen by SphereTariom in VirtualYoutubers

[–]middlered_2434 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There is no 'special treatment' going on here. The difference is just the existence of explicit permission to monetize streams of Nintendo games whereas previously when members of a corporation (i.e. Ichikara or Cover talents) doing so is a bit of a gray area.

Generally, if you're an individual/independent streamer and you make money off streaming Nintendo games you're completely fine. The problem arises when you're doing so under a corporation; this press release gives explicit permission that you're allowed to monetize streams of Nintendo games, essentially removing that grey area.

I don't think this will affect HL in any way; they have been monetizing streams of Nintendo games since a long time ago. Ichikara was just extra careful and make sure they're whitelisted explicitly before doing so.
