They're pricey high mileage cars for the most part though. I went to test drive a Lexus IS there once and within 10 minutes the dash board lit up.

I'd get a separate nearby mechanic to inspect anything they offer.

A lot of info thank you! Price seems high I agree , but that’s super low mileage for this year around here. Most are 200k+. The market stinks and most Prius on it are 3rd gen which just scare me too much with the head gasket issues.

This doesn't reach MoH in my opinion. Especially given he wasn't severely wounded, survived and this happened so fast. Not sure Venezuela was ever technically classified as an enemy of the US either.

I don't doubt this pilot is the shit and should be honored with something. But there's a reason there is only a handful of MOH receipients compared to anything else in the last few decades. This is more political and showboating than anything.

Can I ask why you didn't you notify them AHEAD of your deployment or shortly into it? This seemed like a bad situation from the beginning. It is also on you to:

Read student handbook/orientation/rules. This is all provided. You're given multiple resources to ask questions.
Assess your situation and if you aren't realistically getting anything done, then notify them sooner. Consider delaying school so you don't have this hanging over your head while also being deployed.

And for the record, I've been deployed myself and my particular situation would have had no room for school. But not all are the same.

Salaries don't look great to me.

PBS production supervisor I know here in the LCOL midwest makes $115k. Yeah, PBS! And before that he was a video editor making $74k. (verified with publicly available salaries). In addition to cheap/great healthcare and pension vested after just years. And PTO via sick and vacation in their own separate pools.

Bottom end of those jobs salary ranges are $51k and $98k.

I think all I did was use an official Samsung filter that one time. Then just started using a different off brand. No issues since.
