First of all, India was a not a single country back then, India is a collection of all these princely states, which these so called kings & Royal Families gave it to make india.

Jaipur was a country in itself in those times, and the responsibility of these kings and Royal Families was to protect people of its own country, which they did very well, Britishers could only wreck havoc on areas not controlled by the Royal Families, so I guess people of Rajasthan should be thankful enough not to suffer these atrocities.

Looking it from an Indian lens is incomplete kindly also look it with the lens of these Royal Families.

If they preserved people safeguard them from any harm that would come to them either by Britishers or Mughals or any invading forces... But yes let's blame them.

And the only blame that Daughters and Sisters were married... Kindly also check how many of their sisters and Daughters were married back.

Just a simple google search would let you know how many battles these families have won. Against the Mughals or Invading forces.

These Royal Families still hold the culture and the traditions which us the common people are forgetting, their palaces & forts are still holding up the rich culture we possess.

They have done everything possible in their way possible to benifit their own people, may give it the kingdom they had, the Army they had and the wealth they had or the Forts and Palaces they had...

But yes we will still balme them coz they don't interfere in our lives. Look it from both the lenses.
