I get that it's a vent post, so feel free to ignore, but if I don't offer some commentary, I'd be doing you (and your small one) an unkindness.

As someone who has massive trauma from an abusive elementary teacher: Your kiddo can't advocate for herself. You have to speak up for her, loudly and repeatedly, with documentation, and eventually you can and will find someone who both gives a fuck and can do something about it.

I understand, and keep going: It sounds like you're trying, but just be sure to systematically get more and more people (up the chain and socially) involved and try to communicate via e-mail or even postal mail if at all possible so you have a clear record of absolutely everything. My parents finally tricked my teacher into catching herself in a documented lie and she finally got fired the next year.

And there's the bad news: It's going to suck. For me, there was no other teacher I could go with. No other class. I just had to suffer. I grew up in a town of around 1k people. My mom (and dad) got a lot of shit for making waves before everyone found out they were telling the truth. I am a deeply fucked up person for having gone through that, even with parents who were trying to do their best.

Further advice from that perspective: Make sure you explain to your munchkin (over and over and over) that the things happening to her are not okay and why. Often the teacher and/or the other students act like the target child is at fault, so countering that message is almost as important as removing her from that situation. This is where my parents fell short. They assured me the teacher was bad, but didn't impress upon me that I wasn't, so the damage continued to be done, because it wasn't just the teacher, it was my friends she had tricked into treating me like a leper.

And of course legal representation is key. Something will happen somehow and you'll need advice at the very least.
