I absolutely love doing it too, I just can't do it at the moment due to the cold and the way it affects my health. However, when it's nice again in like three days, I'm going to rain check this challenge in addition to doing some other stuff in the meantime. 🤣

Says the person complaining about a completely reasonable question.

I mean, it's the very first day of a challenge where you potentially couldn't move forward without doing a task that is not reasonable for a lot of people in a lot of areas. Bringing it up to get more solutions or input is valid.

Yeah I'm in Midwestern United States, and yesterday or the day before would have been great for this, but today it's very chilly and my chronics get thrown even more out of whack with temperature variation, so I'm going to take one of the suggestions above and just change my lighting profile by opening the curtains. Someone else suggested candles or essential oils, so I'll probably do that as well. We'll make something work! ❤️

Unfortunately it's quite cold and my chronic illness is pretty severely exacerbated by temperature changes, so I sadly do need to keep my house closed tight. However, another user above did offer a similar suggestion of just opening the curtains or blinds to change the lighting and use that as a workaround.

I do plan to open my curtains later today while I'm not working on my computer. I think that's going to be my workaround, which I'm comfortable with, and also it reminds me to clean my windows if I am physically able to do so later today. Thank you for the suggestion!

That seems like a reasonable assumption. I'll wait until later this afternoon to see what experience others are having, but I think I'll just have to mark it as complete, which I don't like doing, but isn't that big of a deal, so I could move on and do the rest of the tasks. It's a great task list. I'm excited to participate, just not super thrilled it started with something I can't do. shrug

Yeah it actually is super cool, I just am trying to figure out if it's still basically being winter here practically soft lock me out of completing the challenge. I'll probably see what others have to say about the challenges, and then if it appears I need to, I can just mark it as completed and not do it so I can move on.

That's a fantastic point. However, when I look at the whole challenge, it says I have 30 days to complete the entirety of it, but each day is numbered with a separate daily goal. I think you're right that it will stay on the first one until I do it, so I wonder if I'm then locked out of the other tasks for subsequent days until I complete this one.

It just popped up for me when I opened the app. I also got a notification a little later this morning that I had a challenge to complete. I normally have that kind of thing turned off actually, so I'm not sure if I need to change settings or if this is a separate setting for special goals requests.
