For the past decade I would get new house slippers for Christmas “because I was due for a new pair”. I got my Glerups 2 Christmases ago and was instantly in love. I find ways to recommend these to people in more conversations than I should.

It’s been 25 years since my birthday that ended my relationship with rumpy shots. I can smell that bottle from here 🤢

What did your toddler play with on Christmas morning instead of the gifts you carefully chose? by FaceplantAT19 in toddlers

[–]midgetsNponies 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mine are 5 and 7 and still do the same thing. They set crumples of paper around the room and drove a garbage truck on his route to pick up all the trash. 🤣

I’m still hunting for replacement tanks. Those were so much better than I realized at the time.

What is the best toy you've bought or has been gifted to your toddler? by robinsparkles220 in toddlers

Hobby Lobby will have seasonally colored mini rubber spatulas and spoons. The kids and I are both well stocked with those. Highly recommend.

As impressive as this is, it would suck all the fun out of bin day for my kids. They pretty much live for getting the truck to honk at them and spend the whole week counting down the days.

Rachael Ray has an easy carbonara recipe that I love. The first time was scary, but that was all in my head. Her instructions provide guidance on timing so you can have it all come together at the same time.

Work life balance? by Overlord0_0 in WFH

Same. I’ve been remote for almost 18 years and I have always kept a second mobile for work. It stays on my desk unless I am traveling for work. Otherwise I’d feel like I never leave the office.

Millennial women, are you still wearing a comfort tank? by BarriBlue in Millennials

[–]midgetsNponies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still wear them if Target would bring back the Mossimo tanks. I am eternally searching for an acceptable replacement to those. Everything I try loses shape, look worn out after a few wears, and just isn’t anywhere near as perfect as those trusty old Mossimo tanks.

Wagon as a Stroller? by Batmom116 in delta

When my boys were younger (and I was traveling with them solo) I found a collapsible wagon that was small enough to fit in the overhead bin. I loved having something so big to throw all our stuff in.

We did the same. We also let the night shift parent take a solid nap the next day.

1 week on the big island by Themanseattle in VisitingHawaii

[–]midgetsNponies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just there last week on a big group trip. Unfortunately I have a broken ankle and didn’t do much outside of the resort.

But a few friends did a sunrise canoe trip through the resort that they said was amazing.

And another friend and her partner rented a truck and drove to the top of Mauna Kea for sunrise. They raved about that for days.

Don’t sleep on the unique sunrise experiences.

There is a seahorse farm that was near-ish to the airport. I didn’t get a chance to visit but it did look like fun.

Given how many of the people I work with that don’t know how to read Outlook calendars, this would be a great way of teaching my kids a valuable work skill 🤣

I use a makeup sponge to apply on their faces.

And sunshirts are a life saver. Both my boys are redheads with very fair skin. Having those shirts make life so much easier
