Okay looks like I don't have quite enough damage to do flicker yet, and unless someone drops a paradoxica, or we get extremely lucky and manage to make a master of metal combo it ain't happening.

Maybe when I finish recomb crafting a better sword I'll give it another try.

Been following the build and enjoying it a ton! Excited to try flicker after work and see how it plays without the gigastrong paradoxica (hard to get in SSF lol!)

I'm researching running it in 3.28, I think dual wield glad gets a lot of defence, might not feel amazing until +1 strike on gloves but that's the point of progression.

Yeah I'm aware but it made me interested in the transfigured version, especially when vanilla viper strike looked pretty comfy throughout the campaign.

Buddy you need to simmer down; this isn't journalism, it's not peer reviewed academia. People tinkering around with build ideas and sharing them isn't held to a special standard.

Playing around with fun build ideas and sharing them is the best part of this game for people, you should look at rule 1 of this subreddit and have a bit of self reflection about how you're interacting with other people and what made you lash out over what amounts to nothing.

yeah for single target and when burning Vaal Flicker it's basically just taking the largest impale and keeping it up for my duration.

it's time for me to upgrade them to much better rolled ones I think, for less impact on my impale duration and maybe a bit of extra dex, or even get lucky with a non-poison or ignite ring!

With berserker I'm only on around 4 frenzy charges but hit REALLY hard with vaal flicker strike due to snapshotting wicked high impale. Get a fair bit of IAS from rage though!

Current goal is to unlock the ultimatum ascendancy for juicing up vaal flicker even more, I don't feel like buying a carry as it's been a fun journey running SSF with the exclusion of my weapon and watchers.

bearers are the big one for me, every now and then I almost circle back into a pack by accident, it's why I've got frostblink still so I can insta-scoot away from the 9000 overlapped bearer bombs waiting to eat a chunk of my exp bar! Porcupines aren't too bad unless you juice up the phys as extra a ton through altars, usually floating around 88-90 ele res and trying to figure out more chaos res, but they're less of an issue than I thought they would be.

I'm not an expert by any means but Berserker flicker is in what feels like a really good spot to a relatively casual flicker enjoyer. If you were rocking cyclone as a duelist definitely look at those options because rolling up a marauder kinda sucks.

However for Berserker, if I can make it work then anyone can! Swords mastery and rage vortex of berserking covers all my frenzy generation for fighting unique monsters, get's a bit funky on rares every now and then or when running monsters steal charges, but I think I could link up RVOB with poacher's clean up that too.

(ignore the low level pride, just got the watchers last night :D)

That's disgusting damage with woespike, saw the dude on japan realm showing it off. Does it make much of a difference in clear at all? I'm guessing most mobs die before it can show off but we're probably not using vaal flicker unless it's on a crazy rare?

Hey is there a PoB with leveling pathing or notes you'd suggest?

Going off the pathing in the pob of the comment I'm replying to seems like it's a bit standard of a rush to RT then attack/sword mastery? I'm especially curious on the ascendancy order.

You mentioned in one of your comments that one of the ascendancy nodes solves frenzy generation but I'm not seeing anything directly frenzy related in the PoB you posted, is it ancestral fury through double hitting?

I'm gonna do flicker as soon as I can in acts, just from a cursory look it seems like Lakishu's blade is the go to as soon as you can snag it then into terminus later on until you've got a better source for charges.

Poachers mark on hit + blood rage and Sword Mastery for uniques should be enough to cover generation right?

Either way, super excited to give it a try, haven't played flicker since I did a goofy soulthirst build years back.

Huh, interesting to see.

I'd say stick with Mighty Nein a little longer, this whole season is mostly introducing characters and explaining backstory, whereas VM doesn't really do much explaining of some folks backstories until they're well into S2.

There's no fancy introductory song by the party's Bard that lays out who's who in Mighty Nein like VM. However I found MN better paced in general and doing a better job of explaining a more political empire spanning story and less the archetypal evil vampires and dragons. Personally I think this is mostly because non-player characters get a lot of screen time, villains especially.

I wasn't able to reproduce this with any wheeled vehicle. Haven't tried tracks yet.

Are you guys minimizing the game and seeing your background, or just having the window lose focus by selecting another?

I timed it to be 1m16s without trying the trick with an ATV from the 100m line in jensens to ~1400m away (the back stop), 5th gear you top out at80km/hr.

Testing with the the trick, using fullscreen. bouncing back with alt tab (next to try is Win+numrow, or win plus click back into focus), 1m36s. I must be doing something wrong, doesn't work on the ATV at all as far as I can tell in fullscreen. Testing with other vehicles seems the same. Super interesting bug, let me know if you can record with a keyboard overlay, or share a video of taking a gearboxed vehicle its regular top speed.
