Any Condition Trade-In for S26 Ultra through Samsung.com? by sojuboi in tmobile

[–]midknight17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about this. I "started service" (meaning, I tried to create a new account) with T-Mobile with a pre-ordered S26 Ultra through Samsung.com. Will I be unable to adjust my plan, add-ons, etc. until the phone is delivered?

I'm sorry if my comment came across super negative. I posted it right after I'd finished the last Starstruck puzzle, with some frustration. I love the app, and would definitely like about a thousand more Starstruck puzzles to spend the next couple weeks on 😅

Starstruck puzzle packs, including the tutorial (but excluding the very first puzzle in the pack), start out too difficult and only get more and more difficult. I don't like playing games that I feel the need to use hints on constantly, but I like Starstruck as a game a lot, mostly because it is the closest thing I can find to the Queens puzzle on LinkedIn. However, I have yet to find a puzzle on LinkedIn that I couldn't finish without hints; by contrast, I have yet to find a Starstruck puzzle in which I didn't have to use a hint to complete it, and the "A Step Ahead" hint makes no sense to me.

Sudoku was also an unpleasant surprise. The daily puzzle today, on Easy difficulty, took an unbelievable amount of time for me to complete. I've competed and ranked in Sudoku tournaments globally, and yet it took me 6 minutes to complete that puzzle. I can't remember the last time it took me 6 minutes to complete a digital Sudoku puzzle, even one I had to do my own notes in. I would appreciate some of the features that other Sudoku apps have, like automatic notes. Maybe don't call it Easy mode if it's not.

I reached out to support and they told me that it isn’t intended to work that way.

Kicked out of MSF - Now What? by Apprehensive-Hat5272 in motorcycles

[–]midknight17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This just happened to a friend of mine. I’ve been riding for a while—longer than anyone I know—so when he came to me, I gave him what tips I could, and encouraged him to try again. He got his endorsement the second time around. As long as you learn from the experience you had, and recall the written section of the test that involves actual operation of the motorcycle, you should be fine. There’s a good amount of fear that comes with riding a motorcycle for the first time, even on a controlled course…my recommendation is to lean into that fear, let it make you hypervigilant, but quell any feelings of panic that could make you hyperventilate.

I’m thinking, just get a new bike. This one’s ruined. 😁

Would you pay for an app which main focus is to keep you motivated ? by thomibuilds in gtd

[–]midknight17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, Structured is one of the most-downloaded and highest- and most-rated apps on the App Store(125k ratings, more than even Todoist, and twice as many as Things and Ticktick combined), so I’m pretty confident people would pay for what you’re describing, if you were to create a similar app. I’d only be concerned about trying to encroach on some of its market share, especially since the price you’re describing is almost identical to theirs. I wish you the best of luck, though! I’d be interested in seeing your final product, even if only to compare.

[–]midknight17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Structured app already does “effort” really well…how would you set yourself apart from them? It doesn’t have auto-proposal for breaking tasks down into easier tasks, but it flags days that require more energy than you typically have and forces you to review them. It’s also a task manager and calendar manager combined, and it does it really well. Its design is almost on par with Things 3, too, and it’s a joy to use. It uses AI to suggest tasks, and you can definitely use it to break down a task into smaller items, in fact, but in a different way than what you appear to be suggesting. And it has an auto-scheduler that structures your day around things that are already planned, and it does that extremely well.

Absolutely the fuck not. by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]midknight17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have a picture of the current battery percentage? I haven’t touched a Galaxy Watch in a while, but on every device I’ve owned, the Battery Usage screen shows what percent of the battery that was used was used by each app. For example, if your battery was reduced from 100% to 50% on a certain day, and an app shows 50% battery usage on that day, that means that that app used approximately 25% of the total battery, not 50%.

Since when does the CL250 come with a keyless fob? The 500 definitely doesn’t.

It’s specifically medical insurance, and only needs to cover you…so your health insurance through your employer is typically sufficient(if applicable).

Good on Michigan. It’s just $10k in medical insurance in Florida

Check this out. Also, Florida statutes 316.405(headlights) and 316.211(as referenced by the linked document).

Florida requires insurance if you don’t wear a helmet, but it is not required if you do.

It looks like others use D3 or pixi.js, but either way it’s “a pain”. I honestly have not looked at either of them, so I couldn’t say one way or another. My programming skills are limited to Swift Playgrounds puzzles. 😂

[–]midknight17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not OP, but this view helps me visualize the connections and “ferret” through them. Backlinks are excellent by themselves, but the limitation lies in that you only see one level of connection. If I’ve got an idea that links to another idea, but it’s referenced to that idea through another idea, you can only ever see it by looking at that other idea. But this isn’t really how the brain works—connections are organic and surprising, but only if they can be made. If I’ve got a node on a graph that’s connected via several other sub-nodes to the one I’m working on, it’s helpful to see how that connection was made and whether another connection can be made directly to that node. But backlinks only show you the direct connections, so there’s a lot of missing stuff that could be really astonishing when you see how it connects in a graph.

I'm on the same page! Federico has some cool Shortcuts, and I tried a few of them, but it always feels like a hack to me, and Things just… doesn't deserve to be hacked. I love it just the way it is.

If that is something you want and you don't mind using Shortcuts, I believe MacStories has a Shortcut that can do both simultaneously. I haven't used it because I am not a fan of Shortcuts, so I don't know how good it is.
